Charming hotel in the heart of Granada

A charming hotel in the heart of Granada, comfortable and with a very friendly staff. Nearby parking, to store the car and not take it out until you leave, the hotel is located in the pedestrian area with everything nearby to walk. Five minutes from the cathedral, tapas and restaurants, and nightlife areas. Comfortable rooms, full bathroom and enough space to rest for the day. To come back, no doubt.

Decided they were "overbooked" a month after I made my reservation

I made a reservation for this hotel on Booking.com for mid April, 2025. One month later, January 21, 2025, I received a notice from Booking.com that Las Nieves informed them that they had "overbooked" for our date and had cancelled our reservation. It is a popular time of year which I why I booked so far in advance. Somehow it took a month for Las Nieves to figure out that they had overbooked? Really?

It's not worth what you charge

Being a historic city, it is very difficult to reach the hotel by car, as it is in a pedestrian area. We asked for information about parking and the email came with very detailed instructions (that we had 15 minutes to park the car on the street in front of the hotel, which would be time to unload our bags and check in). However, when we arrived, one of the employees shouted saying that we couldn't stay there for even 2 minutes, as we would be fined. In fact, the two reception employees are not suitable for working in hotels. They are rude, rude and unwelcoming. Luckily, the next morning there was a very kind gentleman at the reception. The hotel is small, the room is simple, the furniture is old, it needs updating, a little love. It's noisy, as many people pass by talking loudly during the night. There is no cafe or restaurant on site. There is no parking, but it is not worth it if you have an agreement. We chose Rex, which was further away (about 7 blocks), but seemed more normal, as we were told that the others had very complicated access, with very small and low entrances, and that we had to go backwards in an elevator. It cost 18 euros per day. Having said that, and to be fair, the location was very good, there are restaurants, supermarket, bakeries, and bus stops very close by, therefore easy access to everything. And as it is in the center, very close to the Cathedral, it is very easy to get to know the city on foot. To go up to the Alhambra, we walked about 7 minutes to the point where the bus leaves that takes you directly there.

😶

I regret to report that the staff were very rude. I had lost my cell phone and I wanted to notify the family at home in Italy and they denied me to make a phone call telling me that they could not..... I would obviously pay at my expense.
Otherwise nothing exceptional.

I recommend

We were on a business trip in Granada and we had a wonderful stay in the hotel. It is in the center of the city near the Cathedral of Granada. Although it is near some restaurants, it was quiet at night. The rooms were clean. The staff was nice and helpful.
