Fantastic Andalusian Village
Accommodation charming comfortable and relaxing.
Breakfast very good combining local produce and fresh baked breads and home made preserves.
The area is great and locals welcoming. Food in village good and we didn’t have a poor meal the entire time we were here!
Great local walks and wildlife.
Hosts very approachable with wide knowledge of local area and can provide recommendations for places to visit or places to eat.

Highlight of our trip
This is our second stay at Casa Annette, this time with our two young children. A great accommodation in the heart of this wonderful Spanish village made all the more special by the infectious enthusiasm for the area from Annette & Stuart. The breakfasts were awesome and plentiful with locally sourced produce and homemade bread and jams. The dinners were lovingly prepared and again locally sourced produce was used. The bed was the comfiest I've slept in for a while and all in all, staying at Casa Annette was once again a highlight of our trip.
Thank you both for your warm hospitality and for allowing us immerse ourselves and enjoy this beautiful area.

Off the beaten track village with this wonderful little B&B makes it a great place for short break - good walking
We arrived at the B&B after the 5 hr walk from Hinajoles in 23 deg+ sunshine (early March) and were shown our 2 rooms at the back of the house (1 had a double and 1 was a twin). The impression as you walk up the tiny staircase and see the lovely open sitting area with books, info, cushions and blankets was one of an Asian/African guesthouse/travellers resthouse. Very cool temperature so I imagine in the heat of July it would be perfect.
The rooms had comfortable beds with duvets and great reading lights (this is rare when travelling on a budget!)
The shower room with toilet and also the separate toilet room are just a few metres away. All well appointed.
We had a lovely pot of tea and homemade banana cake on the very jolly terrace with Stuart and Annette who were happy to chat about how they ended up in this beautiful North Western corner of Andalucia.
If you fancy just coming straight from Seville for a bit of a walking/rambling holiday all the maps are here and all the advice you need and guiding if you like.
Other reviews mention the 3 bars - all lovely.
As we approached the village at the end of our walk it was eerily quiet (3pm on a Sunday). We ventured up the narrow white washed cobbled streets aiming for the centre and then as we turned a corner the sound of about 50 Spaniards enjoying beer, wine and tapas in the small square suddenly hit us. A great atmosphere, the Stork in the nest on the church tower keeping watch on everyone...
Casa Annette is just around the corner from the bars - a safe distance but not too far that a blind stagger would get you lost. (Beware the cocktails/shots in Boomerang bar).
Breakfast is homemade - wonderful bread and jams, selection of cheeses and salami. Cereal available. Freshly pressed orange juice. Stuart and Annette keep a smallholding on the edge of the village for fresh fruit and veg.
Thanks for your tips guys. Hope to be back one day. We really enjoyed the walk to Aracena which took us 2hrs with rucksacks but reckon your time of 1 and a half hours involved a bit of jogging!
