Could be a lot better.

Have to say this place is a let down. I will start with the positives. It's a great location, the view is great, and the rooms are comfortable. The air con works, the swimming pool is lovely and warm and you can even get a sunbed around 845 -900i will mention some neutral points. Yes it's noisy, but if you've been here before, you will know that, and it can be a bit annoying being pestered by lucky lucky men. But again, enough reviews mention this. It's lively outside, it's not for those looking for high Spanish culture. It's a typical euro-resort and I don't mind that one bit. Entertainment in the hotel is very typical of this kind of hotel. Not great but it's perfectly acceptable.
Hotel is a mix of many nationalities.
However I do need to mention some negatives. The all inclusive food is too limited, I've been in smaller places that offer far more. It's a big let down , but the worst aspect is the dinner and tea servings. You have to get drinks brought to you, and too few staff take drink orders. It really should have self service machines. This smacks of the company trying to control the amount of drink given out. It's also a mixed offer hotel and not fully all inclusive, and they don't use wristbands. You have to carry a card and if you're over two rooms, you'll need to show both at mealtimes.
The seating is a bit of a mess at dinnertime as well. Especially for larger groups. Groups of 2 will take a table of 4 or 6 without consideration. It needs controlling by someone organising it
There can be big queues for the grilled meats, which aren't put out unlike the rest of the food. Feels very much like controlling behaviour by the hotel. So it's all a bit of a mess in the restaurant. I've seen it done far better at other hotels. They need a major rethink about the restaurant.
The other issues are too few lifts. One seems to be permanently broken and it makes for a sometimes very long time to get back upstairs.
There seems to be enough staff, but they don't work efficiently from the way they keep chopping and changing jobs. It can take ages to get a drink at the bar with this. After going in a hotel abroad dominated by US tourists and seeing the staff work so hard at that one, I would imagine that Americans would not like this hotel.

Dear Guests,
Thank you for taking the time to share such a detailed review of your stay.
We are pleased to know that you appreciated our location, the views, the comfort of your room, the heated pool and our facilities. We also appreciate your balanced comments regarding the lively atmosphere of the area, which is well known and enjoyed by many guests who choose to stay in the heart of Playa de las Américas.
We are sorry, however, that certain aspects of our restaurant and all-inclusive service did not meet your expectations. Our buffet offers a varied selection of international and themed dishes, complemented by live cooking stations where meals are freshly prepared. During peak service periods, these popular stations may occasionally generate short queues due to the high demand.
Regarding the beverage service, our table service is intended to provide greater comfort during meals, while the use of guest cards instead of wristbands allows us to accurately identify the different board types available at the hotel. These operating procedures are explained in advance and are designed to ensure an efficient and transparent service for all guests.
We also appreciate your observations concerning the lifts and the restaurant seating arrangements. Your comments have been shared with the relevant departments, as we continuously review our operations to enhance the guest experience.
Thank you once again for your constructive feedback. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back in the future.
Kind regards,
Hotel Troya

Friendly and welcoming hotel

We stayed 11th July to 18th under a package holiday with easy jet. We arrived around 2pm the staff welcomed us gave us an upgrade due to the room we booked was not available, room was super clean and tidy our balcony looked over the sea, no complaints here. The amenities were good, spa, gym, kids area, ping pong and snooker, the location is amazing close to everything you need and could want to do, pools were lovely we spent most off our time at the infinity pool. My only criticism I had is the food, it isn’t great very limited. I did speak with the Mr Florin he is a lovely guy he listened to our concerns regarding the food selection, but sadly we didn’t feel it changed much, breakfast not an issue mainly evening food. I would anlso like to say the evening entertainment was good, drinks are very good selection, all staff were very friendly and helpful! we would definitely re visit the hotel!

Not great food

Overall the hotel is really nice and a good location if you’d like to go out at night or venture out in the day. Unfortunately there were downsides to the hotel rooms air con which was very very noisy and non existent. The all inclusive buffet was a big disappointment. It was very small, and put simply the worst food we’ve ever eaten. On our last day baring in mind our pick up was at 4:45pm and we arrived late on our first day, they told us our all inclusive had to be finished at 12pm and we had to pay for the rest of our drinks whilst there.

Dear Guest,
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback.
We are pleased to know that you enjoyed our hotel, its facilities and our central location.
We are sorry, however, that some aspects of your stay did not meet your expectations. Regarding the air conditioning, our maintenance team is always available to inspect any issue reported during the stay to ensure the equipment is operating correctly.

Not for us just rude hotel

Got back today and generally disappointed. As soon as got there at reception staff didn’t greet you or acknowledge you had to wait and didn’t tell you anything about hotel. Mainly catered
For Spanish. Just one bar open outside. Room service wasn’t replenished. No staff smiled and un helpful. Food was poor and worst all inclusive I have known and ended up
Eating out most days and any additional
Snacks wanted had to pay for. And check out it at 12 and additional drinks had to
Be paid for and voucher for lunch - no THANKYOU keep it! Location was in centre noisy dirty and got
Offered drugs. Very disappointed
And would not recommend
Here at all and even we
Wouldn’t go back to Tenerife
Because
Of experience

Dear Allison,
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are genuinely concerned to read that so many aspects of your stay were perceived negatively, as this is far from the experience we strive to provide.
We would like to clarify that our hotel offers two pool bars, in addition to the main restaurant and other service points. Regarding the all-inclusive package, the services included, as well as any optional items available at an additional charge, are clearly described prior to arrival to ensure full transparency.
We are also sorry that our team did not leave the positive impression we aim to provide. Friendly and attentive service is one of our core values, and your comments have been shared internally for review.
As for our location, the hotel is situated in the heart of Playa de las Américas, close to the beach and the main leisure area. While many guests appreciate this vibrant setting, we understand that it may not suit everyone seeking a quieter holiday.
Thank you once again for your comments and for staying with us.
Kind regards,
Hotel Troya

Terrible.

What a shame, we came with all the excitement in the world, and it has been a very unpleasant stay. They put us in a triple room, supposedly, but when they added the extra bed, we had to maneuver to access the closet.
In the dining room, you feel out of place; some of the employees only watch the clock to see how much time you have to eat, always rushing you, they do not replenish food, and the lines for the grill are endless. When your turn comes, they tell you that the product is sold out. There is hardly any fruit, and if it runs out, it runs out.
The attitude of the dining room staff, I won't say all of them, but at least 90% is one of neglect; I understand that people get tired, especially on vacation, but you prepare a trip with all the excitement and effort, and it goes to waste because of these kinds of details.
I would not return to this hotel under any circumstances, and of course, I would never recommend it to friends or family.
Everything is measured; you order a vermouth for €4.50, and they give it to you drop by drop, literally with a liquor measure; I have never seen anything like it, and I have been traveling for many years.
I regret having to make this criticism, but we have felt more like a nuisance than customers coming to enjoy their vacation.
I only wish that they are treated on their vacation as we have been treated.
Thank you very much.

Estimados clientes,
Atentamente,
Hotel Troya
