Dreaming accommodation

It was the most beautiful experience, with beautiful people and a well-being at home. We chose accommodations along with included tables, an excellent decision, because we enjoyed Mrs Doina's food, which I would take home. The very welcoming hosts, Cosmin and Georgiana, helped us with various tourist attractions. The big surprise we had was a concert in the yard with friends.

Extremely disappointed

We were scheduled to arrive at this place on a Friday. Since Friday is a working day, as soon as we got out of office we announced the host that we're on our way, with an expected arrival time around 8:30 PM. The traffic was hectic and around 8.30 we informed the host that we'll be late by one hour. At 21:32 I parked the car in front of the entrance gate and here it began. I called, I wrote on the host's whatsapp, nothing. At some point, a woman holding a child in her arm came by the gate, I said hello, she looked at me and walked away. I kept ringing and after 20 minutes someone finally appeared at the gate. Cosmin, the host, started asking me why we arrived so late, expressing how worried he was (although he didn't call or check my message saying we're running late). I should mention by this point that I made this a reservation in July for a week-end in September. One week before our planned visit, I informed the host that I got a puppy and I would like to bring him with me, taking into account the fact that this accommodation place is "pet friendly" (according to their booking.com description). Except for the fact they're not. So, I announced the host that since we've first made the reservation, we got a puppy and we would like to bring him along, he answered that usually, they don't allow pets, but they'll make an exception if we assume any destructions. The puppy is crate trained, so I said we're ok. Cosmin went on in our conversation and said that he'll offer us a gazebo, if we'll like it, although they were fully booked (our booked room was in the attic). I assured Cosmin we would be fine with any gazebo he'd give us. So, back at the gate, after trying to reach the host for 20 minutes and Cosmin sort of welcomes us into his place. On our way to the room (spoiler alert, was not a gazebo), we met his wife who offered me something which I'll classify as a highly disgusted look. Anyway, she was far from being nice. Now, the room. We had been switched from the attic room and the new one had an entrance from the main living area. The place was noisy and did not smell well. Now, I have spent a bunch of summers at my grandparents and I know how countryside places look and smell. I know the drill. This place was smelly. But this was not the problem. Cosmin, our host, insisted on repeating that we shouldn't let the puppy run around in the living area, because other people in house have kids and they judge us before judging him as a host. This entire time I was holding the puppy in my arms, he didn't make a sound being clearly scared about the whole thing. His remark made me understand that we are not welcomed there and after he showed us the room, I went outside to discuss about it. We had a very awkward conversation with him telling me in a very condescending voice that he had been waiting for me for hours (although I had informed him about when I left home and also about running late), that he had gone the extra mile for me, that he's an architect (who cares?!) and that I'm offending him when I am offering to pay for the disturbance created . Where disturbance = me arriving there, staying in front of the gate for 20 minutes and also appearing there with a puppy, although I did communicate with him about all these aspects. However, we left immediately with Cosmin after us telling us that he doesn't understand our reaction, constantly repeating how cool he was about everything and how crappy we were about everything. He told me he didn't understand why we're leaving, I tried to explain, he told me he didn't need my explanations. What a troubled person. Oh, I forgot to mention that he had been drinking for a while before we got there and was still drinking alcohol while discussing with us, a small detail which might explain his lack of coherence and manners.
Cosmin, a small piece of advice from me: get your feet down on the ground and start getting your stuff together. Acting all drunk with your guests doesn't make for a good image for you and your business. Which is a business after all. For anyone interested in finding out more details or even for you Cosmin, if you have any troubles remembering what happened, I have some screen shots that can support my review. I usually don’t act like a forever irritated granny how keeps evidence of everything, but I found your overall behavior completely off track (yours and you wife’s who kept rolling her eyes in a desperate attempt to show how well raised she is). Also, since we’re here, you should update the information regarding what’s allowed and what’s not. Clearly, pets are not welcomed there. But kids who make a lot of noise and music in the background is. Why? Well, just because. Maybe I don’t enjoy hearing kids who scream and jump right besides my door and maybe I don’t like the music other guests are listening to. Still, I didn’t say anything about that, because this is what tolerance is about, common space. My and my 3 months old beagle were sort of a deal breaker in the whole story and even though Cosmin didn’t say in a specific sentence (I doubt he could anyway) that we are not welcomed with a dog there, he definitely made it crystal clear by acting unprofessional. I am so happy I got back home that night and everything sorted out just fine. Spending two nights in that place with those people would have been horror.

Difficult to contact directly via email, use whatsup!

I have tried to contact them for a booking already on 13 June. Until today (3 Aug) no feedback, no reply. Another try yesterday, nothing. Probably the place is full of people and they have no availability - is the main season on the seaside and they have good evaluations, is normal to be busy. But at least short email with standard reply/excuses, "thank you for your message", "please visit us later time when not so busy", "looking forward to welcoming you on a later time"...
have tried with SMSs. Finally, one called back - indeed, is full, they have sold all August already in January-February, no place. And promisse to try to improve feedback on all channels they use.

Not pet friendly!

I DO NOT RECOMMEND! I was not accepted with my small dog, although at the property facilities it is mentioned that pets are accepted. They recommended us to put the dog in the car or give us a cage or leave!

Wonderful place

We just loved this place, everything was absolutely wonderful: from the design of the house and yard to the food we had and the atmosphere. This place is really special.
A very good place to go with your children.
We can't wait to go there again.
