A nice family vacation

The villa was essential for the success of our family trip. We are two parents and two adult children with their respective partners. The organization of the villa allowed each couple to have their privacy while the common spaces enabled us to share beautiful moments together. The villa is beautiful, extremely functional, and clean. The departures for the tours occur just a short distance from the lobby. The staff is always friendly and efficient. They responded to our numerous requests promptly and in the best possible way. Mr. Gaultier is a very cordial and friendly person. I recommend this solution for families and groups. We hope to return soon...

This place is a hidden gem. Quiet, serene, a wonderful experience. Quietly settled in a tropical Forrest location and consists of 6 individual and very spacious houses. While they could have easily fitted more houses for more profit, they deliberately kept it with ample space and it is just stunning. The houses are not new, but well maintained and with astonishing carpentry on doors, stairs, everywhere. The steel roofs are covered with palm leafs making the 6 houses scattered around the park look like something straight out of Jurassic World. Staff is super service minded and attentive, the check-in is very comfortable and I.e. everytime we went to the pool, a member of staff would deliver us beach towels and cold water & glasses complimentary within few minutes without us even asking. The Swiss owner Marcel is a wonderful character, and always hovers around the property, making sure the guests are all happy and content. The beach is very natural, go there to collect shells and meet the neighbors - local fishermen who collect shells for dinner at the low tide. The sunset is amazing from the beach in spite of the sun setting just behind land (light is stunning). The restaurant, close to an artpiece in itself, built directly against the rock formations of the area, with extreme attention to detail and expert carpentry, is an experience in itself. Combined with great food and amazing staff, I am out of space for praising this place which we enjoyed so very much staying at.

This is a fantastic property if you want peace and quiet. If you are looking to be in the center of the action then it's not for you.
Great design and super friendly staff and owner. Owner is very hands-on and greets you and makes sure you are ok with your stay. The restaurant is very pretty, kind of sitting in a loft, and the food was excellent.
Nice pool and lounge chairs overlooking the water. Overall a nice place to be if you want to unwind and relax.

Kalachuchi - Top of Siquijor

Too bad the cancellation of the ferry due to the tropical storm has taken us by 2 days in this great accommodation. An extension was not possible because of the flight. Kalachuchi consists of 6 houses, which can usually be occupied by up to 4 people. So it is a resort that is clear even at maximum occupancy and does not represent a Bettenburg. In general, the signature of the owner, who has long since been divided into Swiss roots, radiates out of everything, which made Kalachuchi a natural experience. It's nice that he exchanges some words with guests when the occasion is right. The restaurant with its load-bearing elements consisting of tree trunks is a particular architectural gem. The houses are equipped with toilet, bathroom and double bed on the ground floor. Upstairs we found a double bed. The cleanliness is impeccable. The air conditioning worked perfectly. Warm water comes after a long lead time. On the terrace we spent the last hours of the day listening to the sounds generated by nature. The well-kept pool is more than adequately designed for the resort contingent. Direct access to the sea is provided by natural stairs. As far as the eye can see it finds the blue sea. The seawater depth is very shallow rising. You can walk a few meters into the sea to reach swimming depth. The kitchen is a highlight. Each of our dishes was extremely successful and also a feast for the eyes. The kindness of the staff, combined with the universal Filipino smile, is impressive. The internet reception in the houses should still be optimized. With luck, a short-term connection can be established upstairs. Different in the restaurant and on the loungers: Here the Internet can already be used well.
We felt very comfortable despite the shortened stay in Kalachuchi. We were allowed to take a mini-jug as a souvenir. It will always remind us of enchanting days.
