Many fruit trees
We again chose the Amaru hotel for a few days in the Sacred Valley. A very relaxing place, the room very cozy. Its gardens are well maintained and the staff was very friendly. They made our stay more comfortable.

It’s a wonderful place to stay if you’re touring the Sacred Valley in the Cusco area, especially for adjusting to the high altitude of Cusco city. The hotel is peaceful, with a garden-like atmosphere that makes it very relaxing. The service is excellent, and the staff are kind, polite, and always ready to help. They can arrange tours and taxi services, which makes exploring the area very convenient.
During my stay, they organized a one-day taxi tour for me that covered four to five highlights in the Sacred Valley (excluding Machu Picchu). At the time of my visit, a four-seat taxi cost less than $100 per day. Getting to Machu Picchu is easy as well, since you can take a train directly from Urubamba.
Urubamba itself is a small town that serves as a great base for accommodations and nearby tours. The hotel is only about a five-minute walk from the town center, and the fresh mountain air is reminiscent of the Swiss Alps.
During my stay, they organized a one-day taxi tour for me that covered four to five highlights in the Sacred Valley (excluding Machu Picchu).
