Great stay!

We loved our stay here, good beds, warm water shower, great terrace and BBQ..
we stayed with them for 4 nights, super to use the kitchen, big supermarket around the corner and the bus terminal is at 5min walk.
Good to arrange tours trough the hostel.
The hostel needs maybe a little update with the kitchen and terrace (no knives in the kitchen) and the pillows are old.. they can make it such a great place upstairs!
Thanks to everyone from the staff for making our stay great!

Building is nice but the rest sucks

The double room we got was dirty but apart from that big and nice for the price range. Shower is hot and ok. Toilet doesn't really flush but still ok. Breakfast is ok.
Now the sucking part
Staff is nice but completely incompetent at everything theyre doing and i'm pretty sure they stole my very expensive headphones. Wifi is bad. Israely tourists are very loud and occupie the living room the whole day.

Male staff incompetent, female staff excellent

The good: I have stayed at this hostel many times, and the young women working there have always been so wonderful and kind. The hostel building is beautiful with a courtyard and free breakfast. Beds are fine, showers hot, good internet in courtyard. I always stored my bags in their locked room and never had a problem with that; they were very flexible with me. Nice TV with BluRay in the courtyard.
The bad: There were two incidences of incompetent and even frighteningly drunk male staff. After being frightened by the drunk owner/his staff member late at night who would not leave me alone as I was trying to sleep, I am very sad that I cannot go back. I think the hostel would be ok if the male staff member(s) were fired but I think he is the owner's brother or cousin. Also it was very weird that they did not kick out the Israeli tourists who were doing cocaine in the hallway for several nights.

One day stop thankfully

Stayed here for one night and cost the same as another we stayed in 4 days later. Except the other blew this out the water. Don't expect much for a low cost just the basics, however they hadn't even bothered to clean the room just emptied the bin! The previous tenants empty shampoo sachets were littered around and there were blobs of toothpaste on the floor so it hadn't been cleaned. We did get the added addition of the ants nest free of charge though.

Things got stolen!

We stayed here for a few nights before heading for the Machu Picchu and Sacred Valley for a few days.
This place indeed is a nice and cheap place.
Location is in between main plaza and mercado.
Room is quite spacious with the price.
Kitchen is available to use, though sometimes it gets quite messy.
However, unfortunately when we came back from Machu Picchu, we found out one of our backpacks (we have 2 big backpacks kept in the hostel, one is securely locked while another one is not) has been obviously opened and searched by someone.
We found out we lost little money (luckily we just put very very little spare money in that backpack).
We told the hostel owner about this (he speaks English). But he simply does not believe and started to get angry with what I said as he thought I made up this "story".
The owner finally reluctantly asked me to come back the next day and he said he will try to ask the staff on this.
But the next day when I went back, the staff said he was not in the hostel for whole day.
Because of the money involved really does not worth to call the police for the time and effort, so finally we just let go.
It is a shame because this is a very good hostel if this had not happened at the beginning.
Overall, this hostel is NOT recommended simply because of the incident and also the attitude of the hostel owner.
