For a very low price and not too far from the centre of Cusco (but located on a slope!), you get a good enough place to stay with what you need. Still, with plenty of discomfort.
Some of the staff members had hygiene problems (dirty clothes). Part of the lobby furniture were run-down, worn-down and even dirty.
The entire place and area around can be very noisy. They were drilling in the morning all the way until noon (working inside the hotel) and there was a concert near the hotel at midnight (!). The noise isolation inside is non-existent.
It gets cold and there is no heating, whatsoever inside the rooms.
Sometimes there is no hot water.
Toilet has issues, it didn't flush well.
Electricity sockets were positioned vertically, so you can plug you electric equipment sideways, just that they keep falling out! (So the only way is to push a chair or luggage against the plug, so that they don't fall out of the sockets).
Breakfast was just above poor. A bit better than at other Cusco hotels, but still: nutrition value was low.
Overall, if you need 1-2 nights to sleep at a low price, it is acceptable. Cleanliness is very good!
But this is not the place to stay for more than 2 nights.

Excellent customer service

Our group of 16 rented the entire hotel for 3 nights before and 1 night after our Salkantay trek. The place was conveniently located and easy to walk around Cusco. The rooms were clean and met our needs. Because we were a group on the same schedule, we did run out of hot water showers, but off schedule we were fine. It was a little noisy at night, but we were there over weekend nights. The included breakfast was good. The best part of our stay, however, was Harold, the manager, and the staff. He was able to arrange for a private dinner prepared by a local chef, served upstairs in the dining room. He also was able to arrange a Sacred Valley tour for the group on short notice. Harold made himself available to answer all of our questions and give suggestions to meet our needs. He made our stay enjoyable.

Theft and disorganised

Be really careful of your belongings at this inn. One of the staff who helps serve breakfast, takes note of who is down for the meal and sneaks up to the room to pilfer. One of my group found nearly USD500 missing and I personally had the unpleasant experience of the staff concerned letting himself into my room while I was in the toilet just after breakfast. Another of my group saw him going into another of our rooms. Shockingly, the owner of the hotel preferred to believe the staff rather than the eye-witness accounts of 3 of us. To add to our woes, the first morning they ran out of water and several of us were stranded half soapy and cold for a good 20mins or so before the water supply was reconnected. The breakfast service is disorganised as the food is prepared on an upper floor and brought down which led to cold eggs and toast etc. We would have changed hotels after the first night but for a group of 10, it was not possible to get so many rooms at the last minute.
