What a Gem!

What a Gem!!! We normally stay somewhere else close by but due to cost and added extras, we thought we’d try somewhere new and think we’ve found our new found home away from home when we visit the Netherlands to see our family each year.
It was super easy to find, check-in was quick and easy. The owner was lovely and friendly, even over the next few days we had ‘good mornings’ from him.
We stayed in a lux villa 4 person, and it had plenty of room. I loved the rocking chair outside! shame there was no view where we were, but its only a small detail and maybe we can request one next time. We did have one that had 1x twin room and 1x double, which was a little awkward for 2 couples. But think there was no option to change.
They had cheese, drinks and snacks when we arrived and the villa was lovely and clean!
No noise between 11pm-7am. As they stop you driving in. So that was fantastic.
Shops, and restaurants are close by, but the onsite restaurant serves great Dutch snacks and delicious pizzas! staff were great there too!
Loved our walks into the woods in the evenings and ease of access to the dunes. Next time we’ll hire bikes.
All in all, this is a fab place! Great value for money and we’ll see you next year!
Thank you for such a wonderful stay!

Unfriendly reception.

The reception, represented by Jo-Janneke, not to be confused with Janneke, is particularly unfriendly. The signage to the park leaves something to be desired. Next thing you know, you're at the back entrance. Seems to be happening more, because Jo-Janneke's response was a simple "We don't post the signs" and "then you should read the signs better". Nice and friendly, but if the signage is not clear and it seems to happen repeatedly that people are standing at the rear, then it seems advisable to take action on this and to speak to the visitors of the park super friendly when they finally report to the reception. That too left something to be desired. Fortunately, there are still flat grounds on the counter, but a little attention and explanation was too much for Jo-Janneke. What a particularly unpleasant person.

Super accommodation, highly recommended

Duynparc Soest is a wonderful stay in a beautiful setting. The studio for 2 people is spacious enough and is very clean and tidy. The park itself is also neatly maintained.
Park has a restaurant. Simple pizza and fries but the pizza was very good.
We also think this is a good base for several days.

Nicely situated

Rented a cottage for the third time. Even though 2 x stayed at the campsite . Delightful place. Nice close to Amersfoort and Soest. Hiking area nearby .
No swimming pool. But municipal swimming pool nearby.
Restaurant is simple but fine. Cottage was lovely with a sauna this time.
We will be going again soon!

Highly Recommended

My wife and I stayed at Duynparc Soest between 24 and 29 June 2024 in a 2 room (4 bed) luxury chalet.
We would strongly recommend this site which is in a quiet location and well landscaped. The accommodation was extremely well-appointed, comfortable, spotlessly clean and a number of items were there to welcome us including toilet rolls and other toiletries, items for washing up and a number of snacks and coffee/tea items. In the fridge were a bottle of wine, a beer and soft drinks as well as some extremely palatable locally made cheese.
The reception office (manned from 0900 to 1700) were extremely helpful with very good English spoken as is so often the case in the Netherlands.
Soest is in a very pleasant semi rural area surrounded by woodland and heathland with ample walking and cycling opportunities. The location is also handy for many towns and cities in Holland with Amersfoort less than 10 minutes drive away, Utrecht reachable within 30 minutes and Amsterdam less than an hour away. A number of other locations are reachable within around an hour. Good public transport is also available for travelling around.
Living in Kent it was easily reachable within a day's drive made easier by the generally courteous driving and cycling habits (much assisted by the infrastructure provided) of the Dutch population.
