Perfect location to explore Marrakech and escape back to for a bit of quiet.

From booking through stay to departure this was the perfect Riad for us. I reached out to the team and requested gluten free options with food and organising an airport transfer as well as an in house hammam. Younis was so quick to respond and explain how it would work I was very reassured.
Younis met the transfer and guided us to the Riad through the maze of the Medina. Most helpful tip? - Walk on the right!
The Riad was beautiful, the courtyard with its tiles and fountain, plants and seating a proper oasis. Our room on the first floor very spacious with everything we needed. The roof top was also amazing with two lots of seating areas and a little pool for a dip (brave in February still).
The decoration in the property was beautiful with some additional quirky features, statues and artwork.
The lady who came to do our hammam was very professional and it was really nice to do on site in their own little room.
Breakfast the next morning was an amazing spread, fresh orange juice, coffee, jam and honey, fresh pancake and lovely omelette as well as cake.
In addition we were overjoyed to meet the kittens, lovely little bundles of fluff.
One of the other couples staying had organised a meal for their first night and we wished that we had done that too as the breakfasts were so good.
All of the people we met at the property were very pleasant and polite and always checked whether we had what we needed. You don’t get keys but there is always someone to answer the door with a smile.

A superb riad in the middle of the medina

What a beautiful hotel to complement our trip to Morocco.
We stayed for 3 nights in this small riad (4 rooms) right in the heart of the medina. Finding the riad is a bit complicated upon arrival because you have to walk to the end of a long alley to find it. However, once found, it is a little paradise.
You ring the bell, the door is opened for you, and you enter a haven of peace in the midst of the madness of the medina.
We stayed for 3 days, and we were given the largest room on the first floor. A blend of rustic and modernity.
The breakfasts are very good, served early in the courtyard.
We had a flight that left early in the morning. We had to leave the hotel at 3:30 AM. The hotel staff accompanied us despite the early hour to the driver who took us to the airport.
We greatly appreciated... the hotel, the service, the breakfasts. It's hard to do better.

Avoid

I had a very disappointing experience with Riad Safar, my guests were refused check in at arrival (late in the evening) as the hotel overbooked their stay.
We made a reservation via Booking.com several months in advance. When we were unable to travel on the original dates, we agreed directly with the hotel via email to move the booking to a new date. This change was clearly confirmed in writing, and I also reconfirmed it by phone a few weeks before arrival.
However, when my guests arrived at the hotel on the agreed date, they were refused check-in and told that the property was fully booked. No alternative accommodation was offered, and they were left to find another hotel at their own expense.
The hotel did not reply to any email asking for explanation, just left guests stranded late in the evening with no accountability.
Avoid at all costs.

Hidden Gem! Stunning.

Absolutely stunning Riad, a hidden gem in the heart of the crazy Medina yet I have never experienced such silence. Lovely kind staff, that are on hand 24/7.
The design and attention to detail is beautiful, the photos do not do it justice! Mine do....
Loved the alley walk to and from the from the Medina.

Total recommendation

The riad is super located in the medina. It is quiet, but still you are in the middle of the souks with a few steps.
The roof terrace with pool is amazing.
However, the concierge Hamid is best. He is extremely helpful us very accommodating. In case of need, he also takes you personally to the meeting places.
