Lovely Stay in the Heart of Old Town

We had a lovely stay at Alexa Old Town Hotel in Vilnius. The location is very unique, right in the Old Town and convenient for walking to the main sights, restaurants, and cafés. Our room was clean, cozy, and comfortable, and we did not have any problems during the stay. There is no reception, but the access code was recieved by email on the day of check-in, and everything worked smoothly, so this was not an issue at all. The only small surprise was the city tax, which we were asked to pay on the last day. I understand that this is normal, but I would have preferred it to be included in the original price so the total cost was clear from the beginning. Overall, great value, easy access, and a very pleasant experience. I would happily stay here again.

Disappointment despite good location

The hotel is very centrally located in Vilnius, which is a big plus. The room was perfectly okay at first glance, but my stay was unfortunately ruined by a very unpleasant experience.
During the night I woke up to something crawling on me, and I discovered several bed bugs both in bed and on the wall. I reported this to the reception, but the hotel refused to acknowledge the problem, claiming it was common insects from outside.
Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this hotel and advise others to choose another accommodation.

Very basic

There is little more than a room with a bathroom for each guest. There is no reception and all communication was via WhatsApp. It does not seem well organized but management did respond fairly quickly. Bag storage is to just leave them in the reception area which is a bit of a concern, but we did not encounter any issues.
It is a fairly clean place, however I did see a bug in the bathroom at one point.

Was absolutely fine

Great location, clean cozy rooms. no problems encountered at all
no reception, but access code was emailed on the day of check in, all was smooth
beware of City tax which is understandable, i just wish they included it in the price rather than springing it up on us on the last day

Never again.

This is a terrible place, and it is one of the worst hotels I visited in my life. It severely damaged my trust in booking.com (and others) because if places like this remain listed, approved quality & service standards on the platform seem to be very low.
First, there is no staff on site with the exception of a cleaning lady (more on that later). You need to contact the manager via phone or WhatsApp. Upon arrival we found the door lock of our room broken, obviously from a previous attempt to break into the room. The damage was poorly fixed with adhesive tape (see pictures). We contacted the manager and we didn’t get a response for about 20 min. After finally responding, the manager told us that there is no other room available and that we need to stay in this room. We didn’t feel safe at all and requested a cancellation. He denied and we had no other option than pay the full rate and complain with booking.com. Booking was not able to help at all. We found another hotel but still were charged for the room with the broken door. While waiting for the manager to reply to our message, we walked the aisle and found many other rooms available with the door open. When we asked the manager why we could not get one of these rooms, he replied that this was none of our business. After that he called the cleaning lady and she started screaming and shouting at us why we were checking other rooms. The whole experience was a nightmare. Bad hotel, bad management and poor service from booking.com.
