Kumeya

Komoro is home to Kumeya. Ruins of Komoro Castle and Toson Shimazaki Historic Sites are local landmarks, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at Manns Wine Komoro Winery and Komoro Distillery. Komoro Community Garden and Yukawa Furusato Park are also worth visiting.

A wakihonjin (Japanese-style inn) on the Hokkoku Kaido road is revived as a hotel

We visited it as a historical site.
The name is pronounced "Kumeya."
It seems that it was almost untouched in the past, but with the help of a subsidy it has been renovated and is now open as an inn.
There are five rooms, most of which are Japanese-style rooms with tatami mats, but there are also rooms with beds.
The garden in the courtyard was also magnificent.
By the way, it seems that the Kaga Maeda clan also patronized the inn. However, the lord stayed in the main inn, and the waki-honjin was for high-ranking officials.

歴史を感じるお宿

江戸時代、北国街道を通って江戸に参勤交代に行く大名が泊まった歴史のある宿。２年位前にリニューアルして、旅館としてオープンしたそうです。古い建物なので、天井が低かったり階段が急だったり窓がなかったりしますが、それら１つ１つにきちんと理由があるので、ぜひ支配人の方に館内を案内してもらうことをお勧めします。朝食はとてもきれいに盛り付けられていて、食べるのがもったいないくらいでした。
