A masterclass in customer service.
my group stayed in Randles for the south west portion of our trip. The Hotel is the epitome of hospitality that nobody can manage to pull off quite like the Irish. From the first welcome to the last goodbye we were treated like family. But ... what really stood out was the service I received after I checked out. I had purchased a considerable amount of gifts from my favourite course Hogs Head. Unfortunately, I left them in the lobby on check out. I didn't realise until I returned home. I decided the have them Shipped back to the US but due an error I made on the paperwork they were returned to Randles. I resigned myself to the fact that it wasn't worth trying again given the fee I had paid via FeEX was non refundable. This is where the magic happened. A lady called Marie from Randles contacted the tour company to get my contact details. I soon received a call from Marie to my office and she assured me that she was determined to get my purchases safely across the pond. To my amazement I received an email that evening with tracking details and they arrived on my doorstep that very week. Given I was no longer a guest and techically not her problem I was blown away the level of care. So, to Randles Hotel and especially Marie I tip my hat to you.

Magnificent
We stayed for 3 nights, the food, the room and the staff were just amazing. Marie was so helpful when we needed her. Will definitely be back sooner rather than later.

Services not at a 4 star standard
Nice hotel and facilities, good location but service not efficient at the breakfast (service and waiting too long).
We had a very negative customer experience with the receptionist Mrs Keary at the front desk in the morning.
It is definitely not a four star standard if an employee at the front desk cannot tell you how to discover the middle lake (or Muckross lake) 7 km away from the hotel which is one of the most common attraction in Killarney.
Especially when the customer has come to her with a guide book about a walk tour and a bike tour, asking for more details.
This person doesn’t even look at it and prefer to tell you “no it’s impossible to go around the lake neither by walk or by bike”. And if you ask her if she knows the place, she’s telling you she’s not from here !
Then you ask for a map to have some informations about the area, she answers you : “we don’t have a map” ! Four star service ? She doesn’t make any effort to understand no native English speaker and prefer to tell you that you are rude to her !
Of course the walk and bike tour around this lake exist, we did it and enjoy it very much. We got the map by ourselves showing all the options to go around the lake.
We brought this map the next morning to this lady at the reception to inform her that these walk and bike tours exist and it might be good to have these maps and more informations about it for the next customers.
Her answer to that was : “we are a paperless hotel !”
Four star service ? No. Four star answer to a customer ? Definitely not and this person should not be there if she does not want to listen and help customers ! It was a very disappointing experience !

Nice Hotel!
Great hotel! Beautifully decorated. Great breakfast! Great food at restaurant/bar.
Comfy bed.Great bathroom. Wonderful staff. Close to Main Street where all pubs, restaurant and shopping is located.
The only reason I didn’t give it a 5 is because we were in a room next to the elevator/lift. We heard it all night. Very annoying. We were only there 2 nights so we didn’t ask for a room change. The second night we were out later. And didn’t hear it as much. So make sure you don’t get a room next to elevator. Other than that, great place to stay!
