Peaceful and stunning location, warm host and comfortable stay.

Tranquil water is exactly what you would expect from the name. Aghada is a remote and beautiful place to stay and Mary's BnB is perfectly situated looking out on the water. My husband and I stayed in the self catering pod which was perfect for our visit. The pod is beautiful and Mary add lovely little touches lie small vases of flowers from around the garden. (and Mary did treat us to a few of her homes made scones which i must say are the most delicious scones I've ever eaten!)
There are plenty of beautiful and interesting places to visit in the area. We hired E bikes (from Cork Bike Hire) and explored the cost. it was a really wonderful way to get around and the drivers on the roads are really kind to cyclists.
Mary kind gave us lots of recommendations and has some maps printed out of the area.
We also visited inch beach which had a sauna which was incredible, where you could look out at the sea!
We also had food from the food truck Captains Catch that stops in Aghada on Tuesday evenings that Mary recommended and they were kind enough to make my husband a vegan meal when i got in touch the day before to ask.
Everywhere we went the people were warm and friendly, most of all Mary herself.
If you are looking for a relaxing and scenic place to visit in Ireland this is it!
Also a fab place for birdwatchers :) I saw lots of house martin, swallows, little grebes, lapwings in passing etc and i'd not brought anything to watch them with!
I would recommend making sure you hire either bikes or a car as some form of transport is needed to make the most of your stay.
Pictures do not do it justice!

Superb place

6 of us are just back from a 2 night stay in Tranquil waters with the Wonderful warm and caring host Mary.We stayed in the main house and the garden pods and they are all fantastic. From the moment we arrived we felt at home it really is a beautiful place an a superb setting. The home made breakfast buffet was delicious and nothing is too much trouble for Mary,Some of our party had travelled from the UK and were really blown away with the warmth of the welcome and great ambience. My daughter got married in Inch Hideaway just up the road and the location of the b and b was ideal.10 out of 10 and I would Highly reccomend Tranquil waters..book it you won't be Dissapointed.

Tranquil water the best ever

We recently stayed in tranquil water wow what a gem, great location, great view, great host, so clean. Our host Mary did everything to make sure we had everything we needed, her breakfast was the best we ever had, all homemade by Mary. Everyone should consider staying at tranquil water. She made the best pancakes for our little boy. She is beyond kind. Thank you Mary we will be back

Home from home stay in Ireland

Mary and her sister Martha, who helped out, could not have been more helpful. I stayed as part of a group and I am so pleased that we chose Tranquil Waters. The breakfast buffet was incredible, so much choice, and I tried everything!! One night, one our our group mis-dialed, asked for a taxi and Martha showed up! Could not have been more helpful. Next time I hope to stay in the Pod which looked really cosy and our friend who stayed in it thoroughly enjoyed her time there. We did hire a car, which is essential in this area and driving l9cally was a breeze.
