Great apartment

Very nice and enjoyable hotel. Very clean and literally across the road from the pub and small shopping area and close to Skool Beans cafe which is great.
We enjoyed that they had a laundry accessible for us to wash our clothes. Check in at 4pm is a bit late but we were lucky to have our keys ready before that. Bed was comfortable and so were the pillows . Nice toiletries and good facilities overall. I’d come back

Perfect in every way, except for washer and dryer.

We stayed at the Vík Apartments on a recent trip to Iceland after previously enjoying a stay at the Vík í Mýrdal Hotel. After a week of traveling around the country, we chose the apartments for the extra space before continuing on to Norway, and they did not disappoint.
After a brief moment of confusion locating the keypad (it’s positioned above the door handle, not on it), we entered a spacious and inviting apartment. The layout included a comfortable living area, a full dining table, and a well-sized kitchen. The standout feature was the floor-to-ceiling windows, which provided beautiful views and access to a balcony. The bathroom was a good size, and both bedrooms were roomy with very comfortable beds and cozy bedding.
The only drawback was the laundry setup. Although a washer and dryer were included, they were located downstairs and outside t
our apartment in a shared area with another smaller apartment. The washer was extremely small—holding only a few items at a time—and the dryer took 2–4 hours per load. Another guest from an apartment further down even stopped by because their unit was not working, which made us appreciate that ours functioned, even if it required multiple loads after a week of travel.
Overall, we had a great stay and would gladly return. We highly recommend the Vík Apartments for their space, comfort, and views.

Everything is really good except the check in process that I want to give some head up to others.
The email I got don’t have access code and I need to call them and they ask me to go to Vik hotel to have credit card deposit before they can give me code (5 mins walk)
For those who are interested in this apartment, there is a Vik hotel which is just 5 mins walk or 1 min drive and you can ask for help as well

The four of us stayed here for one night. The hotel is right across from the Kalta Cave meeting point, with a supermarket and gas station nearby—the location couldn't be better. The room was also very clean and tidy. Perfect.
