We will be visiting again
Sadly we didn’t have a lot of time with Dora the owner of the hostel. We only saw her the last day we were here. But from the other reviews it seems like we missed out on a lot.
She seemed so sweet and we loved talking to her. ❤️
The hostel is what you expect from the price.
You have wifi but we kinda had problems with it. Sometimes it works and sometimes it didn’t. Mby we just were unlucky.
Other than that it was good! We will be visiting again if we come to Kalambaka again. We hope you’ll be there Dora!

You get what you pay for
In a heatwave, it was very noticeable to us that the AC unit was broken. Beds have really noisy/crinkly plastic mattress protectors, everything is pretty dated. The kitchen is outdoors and the doors do not lock. Still - for the price point you really can't complain. Ask your host about breakfast at the cafe down the road, they have a bit of a partnership for an affordable brekky.

Friendly, personable, professional
The sheets and bathroom were impeccably clean. The owner, Dora, is kindly and personable. She has sensible rules and basically runs a tight ship. If you have a problem with one or two rules, don't bother coming, Her staff were very polite and helpful. The hostel offers breakfast which is cooked for you for a voluntary donation to the owner's charitable work in Tanzania.
A wonderful hostel in a stunning area! One of the highlights of our stay in Meteora was the hostel.

Insane rules! 10 AM CHECKOUT! Fees for everything
No cooking after 9 at night! How do I watch the famous sunset and cook dinner? No time before or after!
No hanging out on the roof at night!
The Albanian girls working there are wonderful.
The owner is awful!
No hand washing clothes allowed! 5 euros to wash clothes in the washer!
Awful place - try Meteora Central Hostel.
