Almost 3 weeks stay experience

We've enjoyed a couple of weeks staying in this hotel with wonderful staff. There was no loud music from the bar in the evenings unlike other nearby hotels. Location is perfect - 4 beaches nearby, Lidl, bus station, nice park for morning jogging. Free gym is another big plus for fit people. Thanks a lot Christos, Maria, Andreas and all the cleaning ladies for your great service.

Disappointing hotel with dirty rooms

When we arrived, we were shocked. The first room was an apartment in the basement, the toilet seat was black and everything was dirty. We then changed the room. The second room was also in the basement. That was also dark, dirty, and disgusting. The mattresses of the beds were old and uncomfortable. Single beds pushed together. Bathroom extremely small and the shower with a disgusting shower curtain was hardly usable. The shower was only 30 x 30 cm in size. After showering, the entire room was underwater. This created an extreme slipping hazard. Furniture more suitable for the junkyard. Although this is stated in the description, there was neither a porch nor a balcony. No privacy. The bathroom window faced the courtyard where everyone walked by, and the back window in the basement faced the street. Anyone could look inside, and what was worse, they could enter or break in. Exhaust fumes from cars came into the room from the back when the window was open. When the bathroom window was open, cigarette smoke from the cleaning ladies who often sat in the courtyard in front of our rooms came into the room. There were blinds, but one also wants to have some daylight in their room. It was dirty, sticky, and filthy everywhere, even in the cabinets and drawers, with some pests. One did not dare to touch anything. For an additional fee, they wanted to give us a room on the ground floor. Since we had each booked a room for single use and the room in the basement already cost €75, we declined, as the price-performance ratio was abysmal. To salvage the vacation, we spent two days of our precious holiday looking for another hotel. Unfortunately, this was not possible for our time frame, as we also needed two rooms. We then stayed in other hotels on a nightly basis that were cheaper, cozy, and above all, spotless in cleanliness. This naturally incurred additional costs for us. It is incomprehensible to me how one can rate such a hotel with three stars. This was by far the worst hotel I have ever spent a vacation in. I have been going to Naxos for years to a hotel that only has two stars. And there are worlds of difference between that hotel and this one. I really did not expect that the stay here would be so terrible, in the truest sense of the word. I can only advise everyone against booking this hotel, as these unhygienic conditions are detrimental to health. Moreover, everything is very soundproof; when people talk in the neighboring room, it sounds as if they are in the same room. Everyone could also hear the neighbors' trips to the toilet, and when the toilet was flushed, it sounded as if a waterfall was flowing through the room. Oh, by the way, there is also a construction site across the street....

There's a land train stop 200 metres away so if you need to go watermark or lake kourios it's very easy .
Hotel rooms cleaned daily and best bathroom that we have had in 4 stays in greece
Staff are fantastic George and his family who run bar and food .made us feel so welcome
The bar is only one in kato doratso that's shows football as well
Pool is mainly. Quiet. and spotless clean
Only real down side it's on a quite busy road
Would definitely stay again

Very nice little hotel. Close to at least four different sandy beaches. Staff was very kind and helpful. Breakfast was very good, with options for vegetarians. Including Cretan specialties. Only downside was that the air conditioning was in the living room only and didn't get to the bedroom. They gave us a fan and it improved things a lot.

Well sited hotel, very clean and quiet.

When we first arrived, in the middle of the night, I have to say I was a little disappointed. The room was small with not much storage space and it was in the basement. However, the next day, we quickly realised that we actually seemed to have one of the best rooms. Yes it was small but we asked for extra hangers (we started off with 2 between us!) and moved the wardrobe over so we could open the door without hitting the bedside table and put our cases in the space. We had a little terrace which got the sun all morning while other rooms had a table and chairs by the pool or a balcony overlooking an inner courtyard. The staff were really helpful and immediately provided a new TV when ours wouldn't switch on and a new hob. All rooms have shutters over the sliding doors (which was good as the lock didn't work on our back doors) and there was excellent wifi in the rooms which we don't usually get. The fridge was a bit buzzy at night but earplugs sorted that out. The hotel is really convenient for the beaches, buses to Chania and local restaurants. The rooms are cleaned every day by lovely cleaners and we had frequent towel changes. There was very little noise from other rooms so it was lovely and quiet.
All in all, a basic small room but clean, bright and quiet in a good location.
