Owners are friendly and fantastic; rooms simple and functional.

Stayed for a week, and was incredibly touched by the care and friendliness of the owner couple who went out of their way to welcome everyone. Room was clean, simple, functional and worked great for my needs for the week. Really great people, great service.

All you need is L'Auberge!

Well, I have been in Walldorf only twice. And last time I was really lucky to choose the L'Auberge hotel.
The hotel in general - is just a building. But it always depends, where the building is built and who is the heart'n'soul of the building.
So, for the first - L'Auberge is on the edge of Walldorf. This means - every morning you have great possibility to have a walk in the forest, which is 5 minutes from the hotel. Fresh air, birds and sunny places! And it takes 10-15 minutes walking to the center. There was a shuttle service, but I hadn't used it, cause walking is better than riding.
For the second: there is Mr. Fischer, very attentive host of the hotel. He knows English as well as German, so he can help you in many different situations. But I will tell you even more. When I returned back after work, I was tired to go outside, but didn't want just sitting in the room watching TV. Well, what could I do? I went down to the kitchen and we had a tea sessions together! Both we just were sitting and telling each other the stories! And I must admit, he has plenty of funny stories to tell! Thas was amazing.
Breakfast service:: excellent here. There is a big choice - whether you like flakes with milk, or sandwiches with coffee or both. And additiinal accessories - jams, honey, cornichon, etc.And yes - home made omelette. Just ask for it!
There is laundry service, so you can jog every morning, without worrying about where to wash clothes. There is a fridge - the smaaaall box in the corner of the room. First week I considered - it was a desk board... Then I noticed the socket and the wire...
Every Monday-Friday, while you are outside, the room is cleaned and all the mess you left in the evening disappears.
The rooms are not so big for dancing, but pretty good to accomodate, work and relax. Some of them have balcony.
Well, is this 3-stars hotel only? However there is all you need to have the right impression about staying in Walldorf!

Average stay in Walldorf

This is a privately-owned hostel, run by a local family. The rooms are individually arranged. I got the last available room on the ground floor. The room is small, has a small table, a small TV-set and that´s it. Moreover, there are no shades to ban the lights from the street. So you have to live with the curtains. For me that was ok.
The breakfast is pretty good. The price is probably a bit high, but except for business reasons, you might not visit this town anyway.

Friendly bed and breakfast close to SAP

This is essentially a big private house converted to a bed and breakfast venue. Though it is a bit pricey, the rooms are spacious, at least compared to normal hotel rooms, and the hosts are very friendly and helpful. One of the examples is that we were let to occupy the room from 10am as we arrived early.
Overall, very pleasant experience - especially if the company pays your bill! :)
