Again this year greatly enjoyed the hospitality.
Again this year we enjoyed the hospitality of Frau Schmider. Super clean apartment with all comforts such as air conditioning and dishwasher. Towels, tea towels, toilet paper, everything is ample, beds are covered and beer and wine are in the fridge.
The apartment is ten minutes walk from the main entrance of Europapark but also 10-15 minutes from the various hotels of Europapark where you can have a drink or enjoy a show.

Excellent again.
We have been to Frau Schmider many times, now again in the Kirchstrasse and it was again excellently cared for. Clean and fully furnished with bed linen, towels, toilet paper and so on. Good base to visit the Europa Park, which is a ten-minute walk away.
Friendly welcome and reasonably priced.
Good beds, large TV and spacious bathroom with two sinks. Free parking at the house. Everything great!

Very clean and nice
The owner is very kind and cooperative, the place is clean and new furniture, the hotel is not so far from Europa park , very quiet and well equipped rooms, they even took us to the train station for free in their own car ..

Perfect for staying in Rust and visiting Europa Park
We staying with a family and everything was just perfect.
Only one small minus - there is a church near the place, and every hour we wake up with a belling sound. But - the rest was just fine. Children were happy.

Avoid booking with this place
Gastehaus Schmider may seem like a good value place nearby Europa Park, however, it is far from it. My booking experience has been horrendous with this particular accommodation.
I booked in February 2014 for travel in May 2014.
Most if not all accommodations in Rust, allow free booking and cancellation up to a certain time, except Gastehaus Schmider. It was a risk that I chose to take and regretted.
I had booked through lonelyplanet.com (an affiliate of booking.com) where the website had mentioned if I expected to arrive after 18:00 hours (there was no mention that any time after 19:00 was not tolerated), I was to contact the accommodation to request late check-in. I put this information in the booking details to request late check-in due to our limited flight options. However, the accommodation subsequently replied back through booking.com that they are unable to accommodate the request.
As a result, I was forced to cancel my reservation and incur the charges associated with cancellation because of the inflexibility of the accommodation.
I attempted to explain to booking.com and the accommodation that I should not be charged because this was a condition coming from the accommodation and was not my own choosing to cancel the reservation. Booking.com made me contact the accommodation but all attempts via email or phone have proven unsuccessful. The man in the house does not speak any English and the lady in the house speaks some English but is extremely rude and discourteous to native English speakers.
Talking to her is like talking to someone who just cannot wait for you to shut up and go away. I cannot emphasize how many times I have been interrupted mid-sentence to hear the lady tell me that I should not be calling her despite my attempts to explain the circumstances in simple English terms.
This was supposed to be a simple trip that included 7 friends which has turned out to be a booking nightmare.
There are many other more accommodating places in Rust that I would suggest you to go to.
