Warmth and peace

Spontaneous time out booked and get exactly that.
Wonderful tranquility, the total slowing down of everyday life in the big city.
Very noteworthy is the staff who really do everything to make you feel welcome and really are guests and not just paying customers. All with so much warmth, from the reception to the restaurant.
I had a room in the main building and was totally satisfied. If I go on holiday in the middle of nature, a small spider in the room must not disturb me either.
If you don't want luxury, but peace and cordiality, this is the right place. I'd love to come back.

Price/performance not right

We booked the stay at the hotel in January for seven nights in the hope that you will also get a decent accommodation. Unfortunately, that was not the case. A small dark room which can actually only be a single room. A chair, not a table, the door was also tried to break down at some point. From day one, the fridge was broken. Despite repeated inquiries, this deficiency was ignored and not remedied without any excuse or explanation. In the bathroom the fittings are heavily oxidized the connections rusted.
Right outside the room door were the containers of dirty laundry all the time.
That there are also other rooms in the complex, we could see on a guided tour.
However, these were given in time to different guests who stayed only 2 nights. Unfortunately, Wi-Fi Internet can also be forgotten, which in this day and age cannot be in such a house.
In the restaurant we had breakfast buffet and in the evening 3 course menu. Both the breakfast and the menu we found very good.
The staff at the restaurant were very friendly and attentive. Rarely seen such friendly staff.

Satisfactory

Our room was in one of the half-timbered houses. Room facilities very basic but sufficient for 3 days. Room very noisy. Next door children who have been very very loud .This was very disturbing.
In the restaurant also staff who had very poor knowledge of German. Neither understood nor spoke German well. German colleagues then came to the rescue. All in all, these days were satisfactory.

A wonderful place to relax

We really enjoyed the time at Schloss Herrenstein!Everything was very well maintained, tastefully and stylishly decorated. The swimming pool and sauna are also very nice and we used it gladly and often.
The absolute peace is very much for recreation
The kindness of the staff cannot be surpassed!
Since we had purchased a voucher through Touridays, the price was very cheap. For 160.-€ per night we would not have booked despite the wonderful object.
