Great restaurant experience

I didn't stay at the hotel, but was having dinner with a friend on the terrace today. A great view of the Amöneburg, the service staff was quick, attentive and very friendly. Our food was fantastic. We had porcini cream-filled dumplings on a bed of zucchini and tomato sauce with a crisp side salad. We also had a homemade mango lemonade and crème brûlée for dessert. It was fantastic! highly recommended! Five stars. Even though my path is now further to you dear Claar family, because I live further away, I will add your restaurant back to my list of favorite restaurants. Thank you so much!

Poor communication leads to bad experiences/results!

A recommendation from locals in Marburg led us to this, unfortunately very old, but also very idyllic beautifully located house. First we wanted to reserve a table by phone. It took over 2 hours. 5 Insure until the telecom ends the call.Between 18-19.30 no one on. Then we went straight there. Only after several calls and looking around was a relatively unfriendly lady willing to confirm a reservation. On the subject of the phone, Se only said she didn't hear anything ringing.5 ́ later called - no one went again.
When we got there tonight, we had to press the reception bell after 5 ́ so that a (different) young lady led us to the table, where we immediately received the food and drink menu. Green sauce is over! ...was the first sentence... I don't think that should happen in this area....
Then wait again 10 ́ until drinks and food have been included. After about 5 ́ the lady came back to tell me that not only is the “green sauce” over, but the kitchen also has no chicken thigh left - that was the only non-“red meat dish” my wife had chosen. She apologized for this, but we still left the actually charming place very irritated.
At the moment at least “not recommended”.

Service a foreign word

Easter Sunday, in the beer garden and guest room were about 20 guests. Fifteen minutes pass, no service comes. I'll get the card myself in the dining room. Another 15 minutes pass, no one takes the order. I'm going back to the dining room. 5 servicemen cleaning the cutlery, folding napkins and blankets, I order. 10 minutes later, the drinks arrive, unfortunately without the specially ordered lemon slices. Another 10 minutes pass, the food is served, but the cutlery and the scallion salad are missing. Five minutes later, the cutlery is coming. We complain again about the salad and the lemon slices. 5 minutes later comes the salad and slices. The food is now only lukewarm and the taste only average. The service is grotto bad. No wonder the population eats less!

Geheimtipp Hessen’s

We ate many times here and every time we had a great culinary experience . The kids love the children menu and for the adults they always have something special prepared, local cuisine which taste is extraordinary.
The atmosphere in the building takes you to old times, very intime and homey.

Wonderful Food and Server

We were here with friends for a small wedding dinner. The magnificent traditional architecture, huge carved beams and arches, combined with the fine foods and wines made for a fantastic evening. Our server was a delightful (if slightly overworked) young lady. It helped that her English was great. She was patient with us and took the time to answer our questions about the food and wines. We will definitely return there when we come back to Germany.
