This is a very pleasant hotel, quiet, just outside of city centre in a nice neighbourhood. Friendly and quick service to get a minor defect immediately fixed and friendly restaurant staff as well. We very much enjoyed the food and the atmosphere!

Website more beautiful and better than reality.

Krak krak krak hotel. But separate stately interior. Poorly maintained.
Dinner moderate min. Breakfast good.
9 p.m. checkout. Nothing left to get. 21.05 in bed.

The venerable house has probably seen better times. The outdoor areas are a bit unkempt, the atmosphere in the garden for romantic dining for two rather unsuitable as also unkempt.
The service staff friendly but in jeans and T-shirt. The interior of the restaurant is very chic and elegantly designed. The breakfast buffet unfortunately does not know any vegan bread toppings etc. although the menu for evenings contains vegan dishes - which unfortunately were not available for the most part..... Schade....
The food delivered was all very tasty - compliment in this regard in the kitchen.

The potential would definitely be there - updating for the materials would however be needed. But just for the building itself - worth visiting!

Stylish hotel with newly renovated rooms

The Villa Oranien is set-up in “art nouveau” villa. The rooms are remodeled and decorated with taste. The furniture is partially from the era and tastefully mixed with modern equipment to provide a good comfort. The rooms are spacious. The location is quiet. The bath room is as well a mixture of grandfather’s times and modern. A kettle to prepare coffee and tea, as well as a bottle of mineral water is available in the room. WIFI worked perfectly.
Those guests who don’t fancy cracking wooden floors can chose modern rooms in the annex building; but they lack the charm of the villa.
The restaurant is elegant with the tables stylish dressed with white table cloth. The waiters are wearing as in old time white shirts, black pants and aprons. We had delicious food. The food is freshly prepared which justifies the slightly longer waiting time. The price level is fair, the service attentive and forthcoming. The continental breakfast is richly garnished
The Centre of Diez is in 10-15 minutes walking distance. However, the way is leading through a steep slope as the villa is on a small hill overlooking the town.
We carried beautiful memories home from our stay at the Villa Oranien.
