Old-world countryside chateau experience

We can't wait to return to Chateau D'Ailly - with such a warm welcome from Alec & Séverine (and their gorgeous dog Kozac) we felt instantly at home. The grounds were so lovely to walk around with beautiful views from every aspect, I can understand why so many choose the chateau as their wedding venue. The rooms were clean and full of lovely antiques and heritage decorations in keeping with the chateau. A superb continental breakfast was served in a lovely large dining room downstairs, featuring the unique cornouille jam that is made on the property from the fruits of dogwood trees. Before we left Séverine kindly gave us a tour of the outbuildings, event spaces, gardens and chapel, sharing stories of the long life of the chateau. The chateau was close to town to grab any essentials you might need or to go for a meal. Truly a highlight of our time in France and we hope to have the privilege to stay again!

Wonderful hosts in a magical old (though a little tired) chateau. Charming, absolutely enjoyed our stay.

Amazing place to find driving through. Great to stay with the De Brosses.
Only thing i recommend Alec is locks on the bedroom doors if possible.

Beautiful stay in idyllic chateau

The hosts Alec and Severine were so welcoming along with their bog friendly dog. The rooms were very comfortable and spacious, the views were stunning and the petit-dejeuner every morning was plentiful and delicious. We hope to come back soon!

Fantastic chateau, friendly owners and a reasonable rate. I would come back for sure!!!! The only thing that needs improvement is the WIFI ( I couldn't connect my laptop ) and the fact that they only accept cash ( no credit cards )
