Wonderful places

Excellent welcome smile explanation perfect visit
Clean room and comfortable bedding
Accessories in SDB
Lack of tea or coffee bag in room
Beautiful environment beautiful decoration...
Too bad the breakfast is way too expensive for what is presented
We appreciated Mr Napoleon's hug.
Enjoy your stay

Actually a shame

Well, the hotel does have a certain charm, but upon closer inspection, one realizes that there is a lack of staff to maintain the building.
Friendly reception from a somewhat stressed manager who is bustling around the entire house and does not know what else she needs to do.
She quickly showed us our room and explained everything before she was off again.
The chateau is located outside of Barr in a very quiet area where nothing much happens.
Dinner was okay, but did not meet our expectations.
We had warm goat cheese salad, beef onglet with a zucchini gratin (which turned out to be ratatouille).
Gratin is, as the name suggests, gratinated and not like it is here. Missed the point!
The suite (more like a room) would be quite cramped for 3 people. Many things in the room were defective and outdated. Unfortunately, the two who certainly do this with a lot of passion have no time for maintenance, especially since they also have to take care of a small child.
Breakfast (for an extra €14.50) was very plain. When we arrived, there was still a group of 8 men there, and 2 baskets were empty, which probably held croissants and bread, as I saw them on the men's table.
Jam from various manufacturers in smeared jars, 3 types of sausage/ham and assorted items. Varieties of moldy and goat cheese.
Coffee was available from the machine.
Unfortunately, there was no one to refill the buffet until our departure, and there was also no greeting or farewell.
It's a pity, as this building has a lot of potential to be better.
The hotel's website conveys something different.

Passage

Beautiful castle hotel renovated by two enthusiasts, buffet choice breakfast, beautiful terrace but April too early to spend a moment, large parking manned by Napoleon (dog)... to discover

Fairytale castle

Fairytale castle by a river, welcoming hostess, graceful and helpful. Pets allowed and our little dog was well received. Our children aged 7 and 12 felt comfortable. Breakfast and dinner to try, meat and mussels specialties, excellent tarte flambee. Bravo!!!

The check-in process was easy. The hotel is wonderful. It is in the middle of nowhere, so if you plan to check in late, have dinner before, or plan to go out.
The room is nice and elegant. The bathroom is big enough.
Try not to be noisy at night; the rooms are not soundproof. But it rained every night, so the rain noise did a good job of hiding our own.
The staff is super nice, and the breakfast was good. The internet is terrible, but it works for watching Netflix at night using the room’s TV.
