Summer holidays

Great hotel that is beautifully located by the sea. Good food in the restaurant and nice staff. Nice room in the annex.

This hotel I need to give bad ratings, because 4.5 is way too high, this hotel we luckily only stayed for for one night, the room was located yes next to the guest, who sit and had dinner and breakfast, so we had half a meter between the guest and our terrace
The room was so hot because no aircondition, we ask for a fane, but not possible
Room facilities so poor
Breakfast not special, I even have better breakfast in cheap hotels
Because we need to have door and window open all night, we almost didn’t sleep because of noise from outside and a lot of mosquito bites us
Normally we don’t mind to stay in hotels like this, but paying 2000 danish kroner for this is to high

„White Walls, Sea Air, and a View That Stops You in Your Tracks"

Some hotels deliver exactly what the photos promise. The Melsted Badehotel is one of them. Perched right by the water, looking out over the Baltic – which on certain days looks suspiciously like someone moved the Mediterranean north.
The place is bright, airy, lots of white – not the forced kind of Scandinavian aesthetic, but something that feels genuinely effortless. My room had a terrace with a sea view, and more than once I caught myself just sitting there, perfectly happy to go nowhere. That, for me, is what real comfort looks like.
I travelled alone and never once felt out of place – which isn't a given. The staff deserve credit for that: warm and attentive without hovering.
The village of Gudhjem itself is a small miracle. Colourful houses, rocks, smokeries, the sea at every turn. You wander the lanes thinking: surely this can't actually be real.
A word about the restaurant: I only managed to get a table once – the other evenings were fully booked, which tells you something in itself. That one dinner, though, was the kind of meal you find yourself thinking about days later. Nothing I tried elsewhere on Bornholm came close. Book your table the moment you arrive. Actually, before you arrive.
One small note on the coffee: filter from a jug at breakfast, a little thin and uninspired – and honestly, a touch below what a hotel of this calibre deserves. A kettle or small machine in the room for quiet mornings would be a welcome addition too. Minor details, but worth a mention.
One of those rare places where you know, already at checkout, that you'll be back.

Tip top service

service tip top all staff are friendly and welcoming we got switched room from east to west without charge we ate unfortunately only breakfast buffet there gr family visit also here was service tip top that was filled up the runs even if you came later a day there was still everything

Mestedt Badhotel

Great location. Very nice accommodation clean and nice in the room and hotel. Very friendly staff and helpful staff.
Good breakfast but lousy weak coffee.
