Modern nice hotel on top of DoubleTree

After spending a couple of nights in Yuzhong District, we moved across the river to Conrad Chongqing on Na'an District. Check-in was smooth and efficient. The lobby is located on the 52nd floor, while the executive lounge sits on the 50th floor.
As Diamond members, we were upgraded to a premium room on the 49th floor, featuring a floating bathtub and sweeping views of Chongqing’s skyline. We received a fruit platter and were told that all the drinks in the fridge and snacks were complimentary. The room itself was relatively quiet, with good Wi-Fi. One recurring issue we’ve noticed across China, however, is the centralized AC system—it doesn’t respond to in-room adjustments. Chongqing was quite warm during our stay, so we requested a fan and even had to open the window to cool down. I was impressed by their pillows selection.
The TV supports screen casting, but it’s limited to Chinese apps—Netflix and YouTube didn’t work.
The executive lounge on the 50th floor is where breakfast is served unless you’ve paid for breakfast at the main restaurant on the 52nd floor. The lounge also offers afternoon tea and evening happy hour, with a solid drink menu accessible via iPad—cocktails like tequila sunrise and Long Island iced tea were available. The views from the lounge were excellent.
A special mention to Nicole, the lounge manager, who was both helpful and personable. She introduced us to a seasonal “Papa tangerine,” which had an incredibly thin, easy-to-peel skin.
Service throughout the hotel was prompt and reliable—requests through room service or concierge were typically fulfilled within 5–10 minutes. The property also features signature touches like Conrad bear and duck. And a small but memorable detail: the lobby has a really pleasant, signature scent. We also enjoyed using the pool and gym. Eren was the friendly lifeguard.
Overall, a very comfortable stay with strong service, though the AC system could be improved. Ps: DoubleTree hotel is downstairs as they share the same building but with different entrances.

Book one of the best rooms in Conrad. King Deluxe Loft for several nights and spent a decent amount of money to have a great experience in Chongqing.
Check in was average not great. I was booked in for several nights but arranged with a good view but not the best side of the city. But was not offered the chance to change rooms on a later day. Would have been nice to experience both sides. I don’t mind changing.
Second night at midnight the ceiling light in the hall leaked 1-2 litres of water. Basically the aircon outlet malfunctioned. Problem solved. Towels across the floor and a bin to collect anymore water. Again no offer to change room. At this point with one night left to go, I just felt what is the point to ask.
On check out I just wanted to check out and leave to the airport. Manager was very polite, to be honest everyone is very polite. Just the feeling the hotel is offering a premium experience but is not living up to the expectation.

Limited breakfast options at the executive lounge. Steps are a bit higher than average on the stairs to the loft.
View is excellent
Their Chinese restaurant is good
Convenient. A few steps away from line 3, shopping malls, supermarket, food, etc
Situated in the older part of town. Must be able to speak some Chinese to navigate

Best Conrad Experience in Chongqing

I really enjoyed my stay with Conrad ChongQing. The staffs are really friendly and helpful, especially Yana He & Nicole Pengyy.
The lounge food and beverage are super delightful and yummy. Room and gym are specious and clean! I'll definitely stay at this hotel again if i revisit Chongqing.
