I’ll start by saying the owner was very kind and the beds were clean… now please read.
When we pulled up with our 3 kids I was ready to turn back around and drive 5 hours home. It is next door to what I think is a SRO or homeless shelter… there were people slumped over, swearing, yelling, smoking, openly doing drugs all day every single day, like it’s BAD. Now to the motel grounds, the first half seems to be long term residents who were ALL sitting outside their rooms smoking with doors open and inside is like hoarder houses. There was also people sleeping in a trailer in the parking lot who seemed to live there. I 100% would not let my children use the playground and we only dipped in the pool for a mere 2 minutes before deciding we could not let our children be on the grounds with all these questionable people watching. The room itself was good for us as it had 2 bedrooms. The bathroom was quite filthy, sink cracked and rusting and didn’t drain, the kitchen had a cupboard glued shut or something so we didn’t even bother cooking there and went out for every meal instead. Clean towels were delivered every day and the staff were very kind. However just be aware everywhere smelt like smoke and had people smoking so using the AC (which is only in the living room, not the bedrooms) wafts smoke into your room.
We basically slept and showered and then tried to stay away as much as possible (which was our plan anyways)
Again, nice, kind, owner but steer clear!

I stayed here for a second time because the price was lower than most of the other otels in the area and I had a good experience the first time. The room was super clean with extra touches like a wicker bin to put used towels, modern fixtures to charge phones, etc., and slipper.
We did have some very noisy upstairs guests that didn't settle down until after midnight (stomping loudly constantly). The hotel might want to invest in carpet and/or some sort of sound-proofing for the floors.
Also, while the slippers are a nice touch, they only give one pair. Most people travel with at least one other, so a second pair would be nice.

We loved this place! Amazing gardens. Freindly, helpful hosts. Close to trails for walking dogs... and easy access to Value Village (a bonus!). The owners also think of the small stuff... room was well stocked, including slippers!
