Romantic

The scenery surrounding the hotel is absolutely beautiful. Country setting on acres of land with golf course and pond. The setting is very romantic. Great for couples who are in love to stroll the grounds and enjoy the wine from Adamo Winery.

Rundown, getting shabby needs updating

Rundown, I've been coming here for many years and unfortunately it's become very outdated and extremely rundown. Wallpaper is peeling in rooms and hallways. On the 4th floor the hallway was very smelly like laundry that you didn't put in the dryer soon enough after it's cycle finished. Carpets in the buffet are stained and unraveling in areas, wallpaper is also peeling at the seams there too. Bedstand lamp shade falling apart, drapes in rooms need to be replaced or washed. Dated room decor, cracks in ceiling molding etc. no duvet cover over duvet just flat sheets on top and under duvet very strange and unsanitary. Furniture rundown throughout the entire resort.
Light fixtures are dusty, the glass that in closes wine cellar beside the bar is fifthly, large candle holder with pillar candle sitting on top of the bar was covered in grease and dust. -The Devil Is In The Detail - no tea lights or candles were lit during the evening on Saturday in the cabin or lobby bar. No nice music was playing at dinner. Old canned food in Mason jars on display from over 10 years ago on display beside breakfast buffet need to go in the garage, they are just gross and unappetizing and have been there for years now ... Also covered in dust. Morning buffet also not what it once was.
-Staff are really kind and the food was good in the Cabin restaurant.
-Beautiful view and room layout
Resort needs major money put into it and needs to be updated and cleaned. I used to love this resort but since the change in ownership it just isn't what it used to be. For 450$per night I would expect more , management needs to step up their game and this beautiful resort back into shape.

Extremely poor service and outdated rooms

We booked two rooms for May 30th (spending over $2,000) specifically to watch the Champions League Final with a group of friends, some of whom drove all the way from Toronto. Before booking, I called reservations and the front desk twice to confirm the resort bar would show the match. I was assured both times it wouldn't be an issue. After booking, I even called the bar directly to double-check and received the same confirmation.
Upon arrival, the bar refused to play the game because it required a subscription to DAZN or FuboTV, which they didn't have. When I approached the front desk about this broken promise, the staff was entirely unhelpful and dismissive, claiming nothing could be done. It is incredibly disappointing that a 4-star resort would practice this kind of penny-pinching and refuse to secure a minor subscription to honor a multi-thousand-dollar booking commitment.
Our entire group had to rush to a nearby Boston Pizza to watch the game, meaning the resort also lost out on a lunch reservation for over 10 people. The service fell well below 4-star standards, and because of this experience, we will not be returning.

Thank you for reaching out to us, Gunit,
We are sorry to hear about the inconvenience you faced during your stay regarding the Champions League Final. While Babbo does have 2 televisions at the bar, it is not a sports bar and only airs Sportsnet and TSN, TSN 2, and TSN4. Purchasing a subscription at the last minute was not possible at the time. We apologize that you were led to believe we carried stations that would have aired the game you wished to watch.
The feedback shared about the viewing arrangements and service is important, and it will certainly be addressed with our team as well as look into carrying a subscription to DAZN in the future.
Sincerely,
Guest Relations

The staff were always friendly no matter where you wondered. The lobby was full of light with opportunity to sit and watch TV. The breakfasts were full of variety on the buffet and à la carte the eggs Benedict was delicious. The pool area overlooked the golf course and felt tropical. Our room was spacious with a balcony overlooking the golf course and ponds and the trees which spread from left to right. Even on a rainy day it was nature at its best. Early check in with bottle of wine for my Birthday
