Great hotel with excellent staff and customer service. Overall, it was a fantastic stay! Great job to the Comfort Inn at Bedford!

Smell of wet plaster unhealthy and snow bank in front of drive up room dangerous

Snow bank made it impossible to use drive up room. We were given another room and narrow" sidewalk was solid ice. Suggested we use hallway entrance but hallway was under renovation and heavy smell of wet plaster was in appropriate and unhealthy because I have C.O.P.D. Our reservation was cancelled and we could not find another suitable pet friendly room in Halifax. Had to book a room 90 km away. These drive up rooms should not be rented in winter and hotel should not be opened when there is heavy renovations going on. I have photos to show all this. Been going to this hotel on and off for over 20 years … must say that our Valentine trip was badly ruined.

The room was decent but getting there wasn't so great. We used the trolly to take our belongings up to second floor but you could only go so far with trolly up there. We then had to carry our stuff down over two short flights of stairs. Hallways were narrow and under construction.

It looked like the place was being renovated but no work was being done. The carpet was removed from the steps in the hallway with the paint stripped, otherwise the room itself was fine.

Nice place to stay with our dogs. The walking trail at the rear of the building was very tranquil.
