It is your standard motel on the Alaskan Hwy, but Manan made the difference. He was kind, friendly, and super helpful with recommendations for food and knowing when everything opened/closed nearby. Check in/out was simple and my stay was comfortable and quiet.

The place is okayish, cleanish but not the best. Room's have a stale smell,My door can be pushed open without turning the doorknob, only locks with deadbolt. Hole in the bedroom wall. Bedroom curtain rod wasn't secured to the wall.
When I asked to switch rooms the lady stated the manager was out of town

I'll be honest, when I drove up the place looked like it had been condemned. It looked like it was falling apart and had huge potholes in the parking lot and only one beat up car. I didn't feel safe staying there and ended up driving down the street to somewhere else.

The motel needs a lot of upgrades. Bed linens were clean, but the towels were thin and not much bigger than a hand towel. Bathroom had a cursory clean, but someone needs to bend down and clean around the toilet pedestal. They also need to look up and clean the bathroom fan. I'm surprised it even worked. Outside in the car park there were 8 inch pieces of re-bar sticking up where some concrete parking blocks once stood. I pity the person who trips on one. They could be impaled. The building needs new shingles, new fascia - oh heck a complete overhaul. We were supposed to stay there again on our return trip from the Yukon but canceled our second reservation. If Hotels.com has standards I don't think this motel would pass. Pictures on-line make it look okay, but it's not.

I have stayed here so many times when I have passed through Fort Nelson.
They are consistent in what they provide; a clean and safe space to get some relief from the road.
They are conveniently located to everything you need; the staff is knowledgeable about local recommendations too!
