As expected. Great value.

I chose this hotel because of the price ($70/night) and location. It was walking distance to the Badlands Amphitheater.
I was met in the parking lot by the owner Brent. He was very friendly and inviting. Took me up to show me the room which was perfect for a place to sleep. Building is quite old so lots of character and small rooms.
Room was clean, wifi worked fine. The main floor is a bar, with very welcoming, friendly people, so there is noise; however, didn't bother me because I'm a heavy sleeper.
For those low maintenance travellers who want to save a buck, great place to stay.

Old but comfortable

Pictures are accurate, the place is built in the early 1900s and looked like it may have been renovated within the 60s or 70s with no changes since then. The bed was comfortable but was not new by any means. Towels and linens were clean and fresh smelling. It did feel like a high attention to cleaning was not exactly there. The mini fridge handle for example was not overly clean. The staff was nice and friendly. A/C for the hot summer days and private washroom in the room.

the motel was o.k. ,, not a whole bunch to say,,, its a place to sleep, resturant next door, witch is handy. not much else to say . price is great. save alot of money , from staying at a bigger named hotel.

Not Fancy But Fun

Hubby and I just spent 2 nights at the Dinosaur Hotel in Drumheller. We knew full well that it was old and that it was small and...well, that it was a bar with a karaoke. The room was small but quaint and it served the purpose. The bed was comfy and the room was clean. The manager , Brent, I believe was his name, was very accommodating and friendly. We booked our room here because we were fascinated by the idea that it had a ghost story attached to it. Unfortunately we didn't experience anything. The karaoke did keep us up until 2 in the morning, but that's because we sang our hearts out and had a great time in the bar. Overall we had a great stay. If you don't mind plain and simple this is a great place to stay.

Simple, cute but not high end.

The building was built in the 1920s and retains much of its original character inside, including original hardwood floors and doors. The room was clean but small. Simple fixtures and basic bed. The bathroom had a shower only. It's an older shower and not what your would typically expect. The water refused to get hot in the evening even though I ran it for a while, but it did get hot in the morning no problem. There was no door on the bathroom, which was a bit awkward. The cold water and the lack of bathroom door is why I gave it 4 stars.
We paid 65$ for the night, which is very cheap and I received exactly what I expected for a 65$/night hotel. If you're looking for a simple, clean, affordable room to sleep in, incredibly friendly staff, and a unique, vintage feel in your hotel, this is the place.
