I booked the Heritage cottage, it’s newly renovated, very clean and cozy. Staffs were very polite and helpful, from the front desk, to maintenance to the breakfast server. This property is very quite with beautiful nature around it.

I rated the stay as bad as i could because there was not a Not Applicable response. The truth is that the check-in and check-out dates initially entered were made by accident. The application defaulted to the month that I was making the reservation. I changed the days but apparently never changed the month. By the time I noticed it was too late. The management staff would not even consider a change or refund request made 7 days before check in date. After I complete my upcoming trip I will not use Hotel or Expedia app. I hope you enjoy your decision but I believe it is customer service like this that eventually brings down companies.

Even though this was 25 miles out of Jasper we are so glad we stayed at the Overlander the 4 days we explored Jasper National Park. It was a real surprise to discover one of the nicest places we have ever stayed. We stayed in one of the cabins (17) which had a beautiful view of Folding Mountain. The cabin itself was immaculate, very roomy and had a very attractive fireplace, which we did not use, as the temperatures were in the high 80's. We do wish they had had 2 chairs inside to sit on instead of only one. The resort does sit right above the highway and the trucks can be quite noisy, but it was very quiet at night. We did not eat in the restaurant on site but it looked very serene and upscale. There is an incredibly beautiful deck outside the lobby but unfortunately it was too hot to sit out there. We did eat at their Folding Mountain Brewery about a mile up the road. The food was good and the view was even better. Luckily this area did not burn in the 2024 fire so the forest is still lovely around the Overlander. We hated to leave, as we had so enjoyed our stay.

Paid peak season prices and it did not match the value
Check-in was smooth and they were very nice. The views are beautiful. We had the king suite and we had a renovated room. The bed is very comfortable however there is no TV be very aware of this. I know this is not a vacation to need a TV but when you’re trying to relax in the evening, it would be nice. The water wasn’t hot in the shower and for the price that we paid, the amenities were lacking. Not to mention you are 40 km away from Jasper so it would be nice to relax and watch TV in the evening. We weren’t able to use the restaurant, but the menu looked delicious. I would recommend but we paid peak season prices and the price did not match the value.

We stayed in a middle cabin. They are not very spacious, but quaint. We had noisy neighbours on one side late at night. Called the after hours number and they came right away to deal with the situation. Management was supposed to call as requested, however we never received a call from the property. Restaurant was nice. Good food, beautiful views.
