Room was very clean. Bed was way to soft, felt like it was sinking. Lovely location and perfect setup in the room with little kitchen and desk. Just great.

Not a true 4-star experience

We booked a courtyard room so we could enjoy the stay with our dog, but unfortunately the experience fell far short of what we expected for the price.
When we first entered, the room was overwhelmed by the smell of cheap air freshener. After the first night, the underlying odour of mould settled in. We tried to ventilate the space as best we could, but that’s not easy when Canberra nights drop close to zero degrees.
Cleanliness was the biggest issue. The shower grout was full of black and pink mould, and there were pubic hairs left behind from previous guests — something that a quick scrub with bleach could have fixed if it had been properly cleaned. When I wiped the bathroom floor myself with sanitiser and toilet paper, the paper came up brown and black with dirt, which made me doubt if the room had been vacuumed or mopped at all. I questioned whether I should have worn thongs (flip flops) in the shower,
The only thing that appeared clean was the carpet, which I suspect had been steam-cleaned due to being a pet-friendly room. Even so, our little 4kg dog wasn’t comfortable and kept sniffing around the corners of the bed as if something — possibly old urine — was still lingering there.
I raised these concerns with reception the next morning and asked if housekeeping could give the bathroom a proper clean and provide a hand towel. Nothing was done. It also seems the hotel only supplies two body towels and two face towels — nothing for our 4-year-old daughter.
For the price we paid, I felt ripped off. The lack of cleanliness and follow-through from staff made this feel far from a four-star experience. I wouldn't come back.

It was so nice to take my little puppy. Superbarn is in walking distance so is the kingston hotel. A short walk to the lake walk and so much more in the vicinity! Great locale

Clean room, comfortable bed and the staff were friendly. The hotel was close to shops and lots of dining out options.

Good location but pricey for non serviced apartment 3 night stay.

Good location and plenty of shops and restaurants in the vicinity. Close to tourist attractions. Had car parking (paid). Breakfast booking is off property though nearby and good quality, however limited options rather than a monetary value.
Booking process a little complex in terms of pricing..card fees etc.
We requested twin bedding and bed was split, however linen was ill-fitting and seemingly makeshift from larger linen and did not stay in bed. We stayed 3 nights and no room service within that time, only after 3 days. Could get towels from reception area if any were left.
