The most magical place
Red Waratah was honestly everything we could have hoped for and more. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely looked after. The entire team went above and beyond in every possible way. The staff were incredibly giving, warm and kind, nothing was ever too much trouble and they made the whole experience feel effortless and special.
The owners were so helpful and responsive throughout the entire process. Every question was answered quickly, every detail was handled with care, and you could genuinely feel how much they care about the venue and the couples who choose to celebrate there.
The accommodation was beautiful, comfortable and thoughtfully prepared. Everything was clean, welcoming and peaceful. It truly felt like a little sanctuary, which made the whole wedding experience even more magical.
Red Waratah is not just a venue, it is an experience. We are so grateful for how well we were cared for and would recommend it to anyone looking for a stunning space with the most incredible people behind it.

Great value
Best value around Bendigo. Very large, modern and fresh rooms. Great rain shower. Very comfortable king size bed. Quiet location.Self check in works well. Only six rooms, so fills up quickly

5* quality at 3* price
Photos do not do this place justice. The building looks lovely from the outside and inside is even better - the room was huge and so was the bathroom. Sparkling clean and modern. The bed and pillows were heavenly. The bathroom is 5* star quality at 3* price - massive rain shower, his & hers basins and a separate toilet. Self check in and out were seamless. Parking was free but tight - someone else had parked in the space allocated to our room, leaving us to squeeze between two large vehicles in the last space available. A short distance out of Bendigo but a very quick and easy drive. During the night it was lovely and quiet, but around 6am it became apparent that the rooms aren't all that soundproof as I was woken by noisy people in the room next door thumping about until 8:30am when they mercifully left. Not a nice way to wake up in such a comfy bed on a Sunday morning! Not taking any stars off for this though as everything else was perfect. This was one of the best rooms we've stayed in, it was amazingly good value for money at $150 per night.

Immaculate
Booking online on their website was very easy. Immaculate and comfortable room with everything well finished. Easy check in with Great service. Carol goes above and beyond to make your experience pleasant. There was plenty of room to park our truck.

An absolute gem
It is not often I have walked into a motel/hotel room and felt like I was the first person to ever stay in the room, but I felt that here. The room was immaculate, spacious and modern. We stayed in a King room for 1 night but wished it was longer.
The bed was so plush and comfortable, the kitchenette was well appointed and the microwave and toaster were handy for a quick breakfast whilst traveling.
The bathroom felt very luxurious with the large shower, double vanity and separate toilet.
The location was ideal for us, a short drive to the centre of Bendigo whilst a supermarket and small shopping complex were only a few minutes away.
This accommodation is ultra boutique and with only 5 or 6 rooms in the complex, it is quiet and private. The twice I spoke to the staff, they were lovely and friendly and accommodating to my requests and questions.
Couldn’t rate this accommodation more highly, I really hope to come back one day!
