Great

Great hostel, confortable, safe, nice, good location (close to the bus terminal and to the main streets), awesome breakfast and, best of all, the people who work here are simply the best! I'm definitely coming back to Windmill

Very noisy and crowded.

I spent one night in this hostel and left for another. The girls' dormitory is extremely noisy because it is on the ground floor next to a busy road. Impossible to sleep, plus the bunk beds are very basic and the dormitory door doesn't really close.
In the morning, the common areas are full of people and bags because there is little space to sit and no room for luggage.
The only positive point was breakfast.
Hostel for people with heavy sleepers wishing to meet people.

Avoid this Dumpster fire of a hostel

Extremely rude staff, dirty bathrooms/rooms, and unsocial. The hostel double booked our room and we were left without accommodation over Christmas then they refused to refund our money. They literally stole from us. We met other travelers there with similar bad experiences who said they regret staying and hostel has gone to trash over the last year. Scam artist

Best atmosphere

Everyone I met at this hostel would say it had the best atmosphere of all the places they've stayed, and I absolutely agree. And it's NOT a party hostel. The front desk staff (Dario, Julieta, Macarena, Hugo) are friendly, helpful and patient. They were available 24/7 to open the entry door for you so you could go out all night if you wanted. Their two dogs,  Bruce and Lee are very chilled and like patting. The hostel is clean and efficiently run with signs posted to remind the unfortunate few who need to be reminded to wash up their dishes and not make noise after 11 PM . The dorm bunks have their own power outlet and a locker you can put your own lock on. There is also air conditioning and a ceiling fan. Breakfasts comprise many homemade jams, peanut butter and olive paste, sliced bread and rolls, boiled eggs, cut fruit, kick ass coffee. There is beer and wine for purchase plus they had a free wine hour one night. This hostel arranges many decently priced tours of all kinds and the two I went on had at least 6 other hostel guests on them so that was fun. I met people from all corners of the world who were mostly on multi month travels. Great place to exchange stories and information of other great places to visit.
No Vegemite (HAHA. That's a little joke with Dario). The bathrooms are pretty small but at least there are 4 and I never once had to wait.

Best Hostel in Mendoza

Really nice hostel, one of the best in Argentina. Nice comfy beds with really good pillows, hot showers, full breakfast not just continental, wifi works well and in a great location- a 5 minute walk from the bus stop and the nightlife streets aren’t too far. The dogs are so cute and chill. Most importantly the staff are amazing, Dario, Julieta and Jamie!!! They did the best job in making everyone comfortable as well as have the best time. Would definitely revisit ☺️
