Discover Lombok International

Lombok International Airport, is the only airport on the island of Lombok, Indonesia. Situated in Tanak Awu, it lies 40 kilometres from Mataram and 55km from Senggigi to the northwest. Lombok International replaced the smaller Selaparang Airport when it closed in 2011.

The airport's single terminal is divided into domestic and international sections. International flights are offered to Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia by AirAsia and to Singapore with SilkAir. Garuda Indonesia also offers direct flights to Jeddah in Saudi Arabia during Hajj. All other flights are domestic routes to other Indonesian destinations with Batik Air, Citilink, Garuda Indonesia, Lion Air and Wings Air.

Lombok International Airport has limited facilities compared to larger international airports, but you can still get cash from several ATMs in the public hall, buy souvenirs and travel supplies, and get a bite to eat from the cafes, restaurants and vending machines. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the terminal, and you can also unwind with reflexology and massage services.

The airport has three lounges: the Sheraton VIP Departure Lounge (free for Sheraton Hotel guests), the Executive Lounge and the JW Sky Lounge. For a fee, all passengers can access these lounges to wait for their flights in comfort.

Getting to Mataram city centre

Buses

DAMRI operates a fleet of air-conditioned buses that depart from the right side of the terminal forecourt for Terminal Mandalika in Mataram and Senggigi on the west coast.

Buses to Mataram leave every hour and cost Rp 25,000. Buses to Senggigi leave every 90 minutes and cost Rp 35,000.

Taxis

Taxi firms that are licensed to operate at Mataram Airport are Airport Taksi Koperasi, Bluebird Taxi and Express Taxi. These all use the meter, and it should cost Rp 75,000–100,000 to get to Mataram, Rp 125,000–155,000 to Senggigi or Rp 250,000 to Gili Island ferry terminals.

Other taxi drivers may offer you a cheaper fare, but these are not licensed by the airport.

Car hire

You can hire a car at Lombok International from companies such as BIL Local Transport, Dharma Lestari Tour and Travel, Golden Bird Limousine and Car Rental and Trac-Astra Rent a Car.

It takes around 45 minutes to drive from the airport to Mataram along Jl. Bypass Bandara.
