The city of Fort Myers, named after Colonel Abraham Myers, is the country seat and the commercial centre of Lee County in the state of Florida within the United States. Other than the miniature railway and the museum, the Train Village area also has a full-size locomotive and caboose on display, along with a playground for children.

Fort Myers has Lee Tran as its local bus service, with a good number of bus lines that cross through the city. As a city with near-tropical climate, Fort Myers is best explored with a bicycle, although look out for sudden showers during the wet season, and always stay hydrated. Within the city, there are tolls for Sanibel Causeway, along with Midpoint and Cape Coral Pkwy or Colonial Bridge. It is almost inevitable to pass by the tolls, unless you go through Downtown Fort Myers and US-41.
