Larnaca Airport received 7.6 million passengers in 2015 and is located four kilometres south-west of its namesake city.

The airport opened to the public in February 1975 and the current terminal building began operation in November 2009. This single terminal handles both domestic and international flights, with 67 check-in counters and 48 departure gates. Departures can be found on the upper level, arrivals on the ground floor.

Flights arrive and depart Larnaca Airport from destinations across Europe, North Africa and the Middle East, including British Airways flights to London, EgyptAir flights to Cairo and Gulf Air flights to Bahrain, among 60 other airlines. The airport was the hub of Cyprus Airways until the airline ceased operations in 2015.

Larnaca Airport has all the facilities you'd expect at an international airport, from financial services to dining venues. The airport has 3,700 square kilometres of retail space, including souvenir shops, international boutiques and duty-free outlets.

More facilities are available in the airport lounges. Any passenger can make use of the Swissport Executive Lounge for a fee, which includes dedicated reading, smoking and children's areas, Wi-Fi access and a business centre. The Aegean Business Lounge offers more extensive business and conference facilities, however access is limited to business class and gold membership fliers.
