It serves the Greater Houston Metropolitan area in the United States and is located some 37 kilometres north of downtown Houston. The City of Houston owns the airport, while the Houston Airport System operates it. George Bush Intercontinental Airport is a hub for United Airlines and focus city for Spirit Airlines.

Downtown Aquarium, Houston - The Downtown Aquarium is a public aquarium in downtown Houston. It is home to over 200 species of aquatic animals. Gerald D. Hines Waterwall Park - The Gerald D. Hines Waterwall Park is a multi-storey sculptural fountain in the Uptown District of Houston. Formerly called the Williams Waterwall and the Transco Waterwall, it is situated opposite the south face of William's Tower.

How to get around Houston
The Metropolitan Transit Authority of Harris County, or the METRO, operates local and express bus lines and the METRORail light rail line. All fares for METRO can be paid in exact change or the reloadable fare smartcard called the Q Card. These cards can be acquired at METRO's RideStore downtown or at many of the local supermarkets. The card can be reloaded from where the cards were bought, from Bus Reloaders at the base of local buses, Credit Vending Machines, and Ticket Vending Machines.
The METRORail consists of three lines. The Red Line is most useful to tourists, as it links the downtown, midtown, the Museum district, the Medical Center, and Reliant Park. The Purple and Green Lines serve the residential neighbourhoods.
Taxis are available downtown. Wait for them at cab stands as it is unlikely you'll be able to hail one off the street.
