Discover Curitiba

The bustling metropolis of Curitiba is the largest city in Southern Brazil, and has been praised by a number of organisations for being one of the world’s best models of urban planning. In 2010, the city was awarded the Globe Sustainable City Award, and according to Reader’s Digest it’s the best “Latin American Big City” to live, and is Brazil’s most efficient city.

Many immigrants chose to settle in Curitiba during the 19th Century, and the city has commemorated them with parks and monuments dedicated to different ethnic groups. Italian Wood with its boisterous food festivals, German Wood with its replica buildings, and the peaceful Japan Square with its cherry trees and statues of Buddha are a few examples.

There’s always tons of things to see and do in Curitiba, with a range of festivals, museums, and cultural events running throughout the year.
