Discover Luzon Clark International

Clark International Airport (CRK) also known by its former name, the Diosdado Macapagal International, is the secondary aviation facility for the city of Manila but also an international hub for the local region. If you are travelling from Australia, it is likely that you will fly into the Manila Ninoy Aquino Airport (MNL), which handles most of Manila’s incoming long-haul traffic, but if you’d prefer to avoid the big city, you can find connecting routes to this airport. Airlines typically travelling to Clark International are Cebu Pacific, Jinair, Qatar Airways, Tigerair and Asiana.

Originally functioning as a military base, the airport has expanded in order to offer commercial flights too. Now seeing upwards of one million passengers annually, this is one of the Philippine’s growing airports. Amenities include WiFi, executive lounges, a gift shop, a duty free area, and a café. You can access currency exchange services at two different banks, and there are car rental services available within the airport, with big brand names like Avis represented here.

Travel Information

·         It is worth using our search tool to book your vehicle before you arrive in Manila as that will save you both time and money. Once you have picked up your rented car, get onto the North Luzon Expressway (the AH26) and then merge onto R-8, which will take you into the city. The airport is roughly 80km from the city centre, so driving to Manila will take you between an hour and an hour and a half depending on traffic.

·         You can take public transport into the city, but this involves walking to the Clark Pampanga bus stop, getting off at the Pasay Terminal and walking towards light rail station at Roosevelt. This can be a little complicated if you are carrying a fair amount of luggage, are travelling with children, or simply do not know the city all that well. A good solution is to organise an airport transfer, which can pick you up and take you into the city, or towards your holiday destination.

·         The taxis into the downtown area of Manila can be booked online through the airport’s website which is recommended, if you are not going to order an airport transfer through us. Otherwise you will have to haggle for a price at the airport.
