Bundaberg Airport, also known as Bundaberg Regional Airport, is a regional airport in the Australian state of Queensland. It is located 4.6 kilometres southwest of the city centre of Bundaberg. It is a public airport owned and operated by the Bundaberg Regional Council. It resides at an elevation of 107 feet / 33 metres above mean sea level. It has two runways: an asphalt runway designated 14/32 measuring 2,000 metres × 30 metres (6,562 feet × 98 feet), and a runway with grassed grey silt clay surface designated 07/25 measuring 1,128 metres × 30 metres (3,701 feet × 98 feet).
What to see & do
Moore Park Beach - The Moore Park Beach 15 kilometres to the north of Bundaberg has nearly 20 kilometres of golden sandy beach. It is a popular swimming area, but is also a nesting site for sea turtles during the summer months.
Bundaberg Regional Galleries - The Bundaberg Regional Galleries consist of two gallery spaces: the Bundaberg Regional Art Gallery and Childers Arts Space. Both offer art exhibitions, workshops, artist talks, educational programs, activities for kids, guided tours, public outreach programs, and more.
Mon Repos Conservation Park - Mon Repos Conservation Park is an area in Queensland's central coast hosting nestling marine turtles, the largest concentration on the eastern Australian mainland. Species of turtles that nest here include the endangered loggerhead turtle, flatback turtle, green turtle, and the leatherback turtle. During the breeding season, the Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service rangers offer guided night tours.
Botanical Gardens - The Bundaberg Botanical Gardens cover an area of over 27 hectares and consists of a variety of 10,000 trees and shrubs. Attractions in the gardens also include a beautiful lake, Japanese gardens, and up to 114 species of birds, as well as shaded picnic areas, a wedding chapel, themed boardwalks, and a playground for children.
Hinkler Hall of Aviation - Another major tourist attraction in Bundaberg is the Hinkler Hall of Aviation, dedicated to local pioneer solo aviator Bert Hinkler. The Hall provides exhibitions on early aviation and the adventures and achievements of Hinkler. Aside from the interpretive exhibits it also has a flight stimulator, five replica aircraft, and the restored Hinkler House and Fairymead House. The Hinkler Hall of Aviation houses an exhibition gallery, a retail outlet, a cafe, and offers artefact preservation and restoration workshops.
Mystery Craters - The Mystery Craters are, as the name suggests, a strange phenomenon involving 35 oddly shaped craters that were found halfway between Bundaberg and Gin Gin. It has been the subject of controversy due to the mystery of its origin. You'll find at the area a viewing tower with informative commentary, original photographs of the property and the discovery of the craters, a fairy garden, and rock and fossil display.

Bundaberg is served by bus lines operated by Duffy's City Buses. There are routes that extend to the beach suburbs of Bargara, Burnett Heads, and Innes Park. There are also bus services provided by Stewards and Sons Coaches. In order to explore outside of the city centre, consider renting a car.
