The Salluit Airport is a public airport located in the community of Salluit in Quebec, Canada. It is operated by the Administration Regionale Kativik, and is the main air service to the area. There are no roads going to this area, so to speak – so the airport provides the only means of access for residents and visitors alike. The airport's identifiers are YZG (IATA), and CYZG (TC LID). Elevation stands at 745 feet above mean sea level, with the airport hosting flights with a 3,523-feet gravel runway. Aircraft movements are not negative but are few as compared to major airports, only hitting 2,400 by the end of 2010.

The Salluit Airport is located In the Inuit community of Salluit. Salluit is the second northernmost Inuit community in Quebec, located on Sugluk Inlet close to the Hudson Strait. Its population was 1,347 in the Canada census of 2011. The name of the place literally means “The Thin Ones” in Inuktitut, referring to a time when local inhabitants were facing starvation as a result of a lack of wildlife. The first residential houses in the community were built in 1959, with Salluit being legally a municipality in 1979.

Basically, Salluit does not have many destinations, as the municipality only serves as a rural settlement. The northern waters bordering Salluit are too cold to be developed, and the only activity (if it is not frozen) to be done there is fishing.
