What to see & do
Postville is located to the north of Labrador, within Newfoundland and Labrador in Canada. The town is located at around 25 to 30 kilometres into the interior of Kaipokok Bay. Some of the interesting spots within Newfoundland and Labrador include Signal Hill, Cape Spear, East Coast Trail, Cabot Tower, Bowring Park, Johnson Geo Centre, Suncor Energy Fluvarium, Marble Mountain Ski Resort, and Newfoundland Insectarium, among others. Cabot Tower can be found within St. John’s, and has been constructed in commemoration of the 400th anniversary of John Calbot’s discovery of Newfoundland, and Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee. Currently the centre of the Signal Hill National Historic Site of Canada, the tower was completed in the 1900s and was used mainly for flag signalling. Johnson Geo Centre can be found on Signal Hill and is a geological interpretation centre, with most of the centre to be found beneath the ground. It is in an excavated glacial formation and is named after philanthropist Paul Johnson. Newfoundland Insectarium features a variety of mounted insects that can be found from all around the world, divided and organized by the geographical region that they are from. An exhibit within the insectarium includes the insects that can be found within Newfoundland and Labrador. Among other features include live arthropods, tarantulas, scorpions and cockroaches, around the mounted displays, along with a glass beehive, with live honeybees, and a leafcutter ant colony, among others.
 
How to get around
Postville in Newfoundland and Labrador has a population of around 180, the small town does not have much information on its transportation options although when within Newfoundland and Labrador, transportation is by bus, plane, and car. Going by bus, DRL Group has scheduled passenger coach services between St. John’s and Port aux Basques within the island. Newhook’s Transportation also has bus services from Port aux Basques to St. John’s. Another bus service goes from Corner Brook and Deer Lake, via the Great Northern Peninsula towards St. Anthony, is by Viking Express Bus. When taking the plane, moving about within the province can be done with airlines such as Air Canada, Provincial Airlines, and Air Labrador. If the option of going by car is available, it is by far the easiest way to travel all throughout Newfoundland and Labrador. Since the transportation option within the area can be a bit limited, driving around lets for an unforgettable experience due to the ability to explore more areas and get to the smaller areas within the province.
