Sabana de la Mar Airport is an airport located in Sabana de la Mar, a commune in the north-eastern region of Hato Mayor in the Dominican Republic. The airport has the IATA code SNX, and the ICAO code MDSB. It is registered as a public airport standing at an elevation of 10 feet or three metres above mean sea level; however it is only used for emergency landings and private flights. It has one asphalt runway in service, measuring 1,600 feet or 488 metres long.

Sabana de la Mar can be found within Hato Mayor province. The province got its name from its capital city Hato Mayor del Rey. Hato Mayor is one of the last provinces established in the Dominican Republic, and its territory was once part of the El Seibo province.

Sabana de la Mar is a town that serves as a gateway to Parque Nacional Los Haitises, or the Los Haitises National Park. Situated on the remote northeast of the country, the park encompasses a protected virgin forest with little road access. Although the number of tourists allowed to visit the park is limited, it has been a relatively popular ecotourism site, with the ecological guides coming from Sabana de la Mar. Among the popular and interesting features of the Los Haitises National Park are the caverns adorned by Native American pictographs and petroglyphs, as well as spectacular landscapes such as the San Lorenzo Bay, the islets, and the mangroves. Most of the park is located within Sabana de la Mar, along with the visitors’ centre, while the remainder is within the provinces of Monte Plata and Samana. Aside from the Los Haitises tours, tourists visiting Sabana de la Mar can also go whale watching by the bay. Furthermore, Sabana de la Mar also serves as the departure point for the passenger ferry across the bay to Samana, and also for the Mona Passage that crosses to Puerto Rico. The ferries that travel between Samana and Sabana del Mar carry passengers that are on snorkelling, diving, or fishing tour.

Sabana de la Mar Airport may not be suitable as a destination or a departure airport, since it is only used as an emergency landing strip.
