Naples International Airport (NAP)

Naples International Airport has all the standard facilities you would expect of a hub this size. There is a small selection of eateries, and a duty-free area to pick up gifts and souvenirs from. Cash dispensers, currency exchange counters, car rental agencies, and free WiFi are all available to passengers transiting through the airport.

The Naples Airport is less than 5km from the centre of town, and links are efficient and fairly reasonable. Get to Naples by taking a bus, or a taxi, with the latter coming to a fare of around 16-23 ($23-34) for central part of the city.

Things to do in Naples

Naples makes you work to discover its beauty, but when you do, you are richly rewarded. Best time to visit Naples

· Autumn (September-October) is traditionally the best time to visit the city, as the heat of summer has cooled to a pleasant 18-22°C, but it is still fairly dry. Spring is cooler still, with temperatures of about 13-18°C, but also a good time to head to this city.

· Summer is crowded and hot, with highs of 30°C, but for those who love the sun, this is when you are almost guaranteed a shot of vitamin D.

· This is a long-haul journey and flights from Australia will involve two layovers. These tend to be in Hong Kong (HKG), Singapore (SIN), Frankfurt (FRA), and Munich (MUC).
