Discover Derby
Derby is a city and unitary authority area located on the banks of the River Derwent in the East Midlands region of England. It is traditionally the county town of the county of Derbyshire to the north. Derby is most notable as a centre for advanced transport manufacturing. It is home to the second largest aero-engine manufacturer in the world, Rolls-Royce, as well as the only remaining train manufacturer in the UK, Derby Litchurch Lane Works.

Derby Catacombs
The Derby Catacombs, also known as the Guildhall Catacombs, are a series of tunnels underneath Derby. The tunnels go beneath the Marketplace and Guildhall, among other places, and are accessible via a back room of the Tiger pub nearby. The tunnels were used in the Vicotiran era to transfer prisoners between the Police Station at 'Lock-up Yard'and the Courts of Assizes (Guildhall). Today, it is known for paranormal activity such as sightings of a young child and a woman, believed to be Alice Ann Wheeldon (1866 - 1919), a former member of the Independent Labour Party.
Derby Museum and Art Gallery
The Derby Museum and Art Gallery, along with the Derby Central Library, was established in 1879 on The Strand, Derby. The museum houses a collection of paintings by Joseph Wright of Derby, and a large display of Royal Crown Derby, as well as porcelain from the city and its surrounding areas.
Intu Derby
Intu Derby is a large indoor shopping centre formerly known as The Eagle Center. It is located in the centre of Derby and contains some 200 retail stores, including Marks & Spencer, Next, and Sainsbury's. The shopping centre also has a supermarket, a cinema, and several places to eat. Adjoining Intu Derby is the Eagle Market, the UK's largest indoor market.
Pickford's House Museum of Georgian Life and Costume
Pickford's House Museum is a fine Georgian town house built in 1770 by prominent architect Joseph Pickford for his family. Many years after his death, the museum was established in the house in 1988. It reflects the accommodation of a late Georgian professional, and displays of 18th- and 19th-century costumes.
