Our wedding
We had our wedding at Cantley House Hotel on Friday 25th April and we had the most perfect day. We cannot fault a single thing. Communication from the moment we booked our wedding until the day was superb. A special thanks to Lara, Emma, Dianne and Matt without you the day wouldn’t have ran so smoothly. All our guests complimented how lovely the food was and the venue and its beautiful grounds. The staff are so willing friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back for our one year anniversary!

Lovely spot for an overnight stop in Wokingham
We stayed here while visiting family nearby with our toddler. We had a Luxury Suite with breakfast included, as this was significantly cheaper than the alternatives nearby.
We arrived in the evening to a lovely welcome from the excellent receptionist who was pleasant, helpful and attentive to our child. The room was extremely spacious, comfortable but minimalistic (which wasn't really a problem). They provided a cot for our child as requested, again, with no problems. We had to ask the receptionist for some extra pillows and handwash for the bathroom, which were delivered in very quick time, again, with no issues.
The hotel itself is a little dated, but seems to be well maintained overall.
We ordered some dinner to the room, which was ok, maybe a little overpriced. The chicken caesar salad had anchovies, which wasn't mentioned on the menu. Apparently they have a new chef, so I am sure things will get better on this front. But, we ate everything, so wasn't bad.
The bed was huge and extremely comfortable, and we slept very well. The included breakfast was fantastic, as were the staff serving. Again, nothing was too much for them, including swapping out items on the breakfast for others. We were very full and happy.
One big positive with this was that the breakfast finished at 10am, and checkout was 11am, which meant we had a nice gap after breakfast to pack and leave, rather that the usual 10am checkout. I wish more hotels did this.

Have stayed at this hotel 4 or 5 times recently and overall been very impressed. Placed in room 21 this time and very dissapointed. Room not up to usual haigh standard.
Nice main room with a little wear around room. Some uneven paint and a couple of marks on walls.
Bathroom wasnt of usual cleanliness with some obvious repair of tiles, some water damage to shower area, and grubiness around room with a dripping tap.
Room is located next to service room. A couple of times through the night i was awoken to (what sounded like) the hoover momentarily going on.
Like previously said, we have stayed here previously and been impressed with the hotel. Avoid room 21

Lovely, polite staff and a beautiful hotel
Not happy with the service charge in the restaurant no one told us there would be a charge when i signed the bill
Threshold to the bathroom room 21 carpet frayed and i stood on the gripper rod twice a burt my foot.

Perfect Venue
We held the wake for my Dad in the Briar at Cantley House Hotel recently. It is a lovely venue with a cosy feel gorgeous beams and a fabulous fire which our elderly guests appreciated but also a lovely outside terrace to enjoy the sunshine. It also had its own dedicated bar which was great.
The food selection was excellent really plentiful and fresh and I know my Dad would have loved the chunky chips! Many of our guests commented on how good the food was and when we needed extra veggie sandwiches it was no problem.
The real gem though is the staff, Dianne and her team were exceptional so welcoming and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Dianne showed such kindness on what was a difficult day.
I would highly recommend this venue for any event.
