Pleasant stay
Stayed for two nights in August with my friend. we paid £118 for two nights which was a bargain!
Location. Short walk down the hill into the town centre. Brilliant location for exploring Bournemouth.
Parking. There are about 3 parking spaces for the hotel. Not sure if you can pre book a space but if you can, I’d recommend doing that. The first day we managed to get the last on street parking space - it’s free parking. We went out on the 2nd day and couldn’t find a space nearby, on the same street or any surrounding ones. There is a car park a short walk away - for 24 hours it costs around £26 so not great but it’s an option if you’re stuck like we were.
Rooms. Had room 11 on the 2nd floor, with twin beds as requested. Room was spacious and the bathroom was great and clean. Room was very clean and beds comfortable. No complaints about the room - perfectly fine for our stay.
Overall we had a pleasant stay, it was a bargain and we have no complaints. Would stay there again if visiting Bournemouth.

Untruthful and lacking ethics or principles
Avoid this place at all cost. The proprietors are rude, unhelpful and liars. The property information is misleading and inaccurate. Ultimately it’s a town pub with a few rooms above the pub that are not accessible and there are only three parking spaces available. Your initial interaction with any property is key and based on experience this is one place you do not want to waste your time or money on.

We are a small family run business, and do our sincere best to cater for our customers. You have chosen to recall your payment through your bank, even though we provided you with a grace period to cancel free of charge. Due to your prejudice thinking, you will leave us in a loss. Booking.com operate from Amsterdam and we pay their high commission into a foreign bank account. Please remember they do not contribute to the UK economy, like a family run business does. Please also remember, large corporate companies can lie to you as there is nothing you can do about it. They are too big and we are too small. Here are recent reviews from our customers.
Outstanding pub/hotel
When I came to stay here the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The room was very nice and had everything I needed for the night. The bar area was very nice and I enjoyed the morning breakfast. I would definitely revisit this hotel if I was to stay in Bournemouth again.
Late booking but worth it
An extremely late booking resulting in no parking wasn't a good start but staff were friendly and the room was clean warm and well presented. We didn't eat in the bar but it was fairly busy with a mix of families and regulars all seemingly enjoying themselves
Fantastic budget accommodation
For the price we could not fault the Hop Inn, we stayed for 5 nights and were on the top floor! The rooms were large, spotlessly clean and the staff were very friendly. We arrived an hour early and there was no problem checking in, the rooms are contemporary modern and cleaned daily. The location is fantastic and we managed to park every day however parking is limited to 3 spaces! The chip shop next door we couldn’t fault and we would definitely book again.

Not for Business
The accommodation was fine, however they never provided an invoice. I could not claim it for a company I work for and it came out of my pocket.

Great staff, great pub, great room, great location!
Lovely pub with a pool table and TVs for football, serving food breakfast til dinner and a great selection of drinks. Staff were super friendly and welcoming of me and my three dogs, and the room itself was quiet and plenty spacious for the four of us. Off-licence just across the road is super convenient as well.

Conveniently positioned on the West Cliff for The BIC, town and beach.
Very good value break, comfortable bedroom and smart shower room.Nice and clean . Welcoming Pub with Sports Bar serving food all-day from 8am till 9 pm.Entertainment on some nights.Food and drinks very reasonable compared with town prices
