Travel between monbazillac and England in a sweet and kind setting

Favourite stay in France!
Perfect location for all the lovely local villages and vineyards.
Phil and Trish were absolutely perfect hosts, you couldn't ask for a more kind and friendly couple.
The room was beautifully clean, air con was so quiet we didn't even know it was on! Also had a lovely ensuite bathroom with lots of lovely little extra touches.
They took note of everything we said to make us as comfy as possible and it was the best night's sleep on our trip.
We had a beautiful breakfast in the morning and we're very sad to leave! Hopefully we will be back in the future

A perfect place to explore the Dordogne
The BEST hosts, who did everything to ensure our stay was memorable; from local recommendations for evening meals to helping us with our hire car. We arrived 5 hours early, but that didn't matter. Trish & Phil put on a breakfast for us to give a well needed boost after a long journey. We may have arrived as guests but we have left as friends for life and WILL be returning as soon as we're able to.
- The breakfast is first class (we are late risers and a full continental when we were ready for it was fantastic) - and we sat enjoying it overlooking 100sq km of unbroken views of vineyards, woods, wildlife and peaceful silence - perfect
- The rooms are fully air conditioned (perfect in 30+ degree heat)
- Bathroom with 2 shower options, perfect
- Big TV to relax watching while getting ready to go out in the evening. - perfect
There isn't anything that we can't rave about, in truth, we not only didn't want to leave, but wanted to move in!

WOW what a review!!!!! We are both really touched and reading it honestly made our day/week/year! Along with the thank you card you left for us which still has pride of place! We really cannot thank you enough because as you know we are a new business and we are desperately trying to get it right! You were amazing guests and we had a lot of fun with you both especially your last night here when we had drinks on the sun terrace. As you say you arrived as guests and left as friends. Les Grand Bois - Just Perfect!
Wow what a find? Only 10 minutes from Bergerac Airport, a lovely welcome from Trish, a stunning view, beautiful bedrooms, providing tea and coffee with a fabulous bathroom and shower. Air conditioning was a bonus! We enjoyed a lovely breakfast with fresh fruit, yoghurts, croissants, local bread and jams in a lovely dining room. A truly fabulous stay. We definitely will be returning. Thank you Trish.

Les Grands Bois. What a beautiful place
Clean, comfortable and well located
We had the absolute pleasure of staying for a short break at this very new and well located Chambre d’Hôte not far from Bergerac. We found it to be very clean, well presented and we felt as though everything had been well thought through from a practical aspect.
The bedroom was nicely decorated in modern style and it had a smart decent size en-suite bathroom with large walk in shower. Herbal teas and coffee facilities in the room were a nice touch. We found the bed comfortable and we were lucky to get a balcony room which means we awoke every day to exceptional views over the beautiful vineyards which surround the property. We decided to have breakfast on the patio as we were blessed with excellent weather. The food provided was plentiful and presented as a help yourself buffet and it had a variety of fresh tasty food including the best bread we think have ever tasted!
It got rather hot during our sightseeing days out visiting local vineyards and French markets including Eymet, Issigeac and Bergerac reaching 40 degrees every day so it was a welcome relief to arrive back into our nice cool room as we had full control of the air conditioning so we could set it to our liking to make ourselves more comfortable.
Overall it was a real treat to stay at this lovely place and we promise we will definitely be back. Thank you.
